About this Cook
I'm a 14-year-old girl cooking for a four-person family until my mom recovers from hand surgery. I'm the cook for the next six weeks and haven't done a whole lot before now...
My favorite things to cook
Soups in general, and paprika roast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving never involves a turkey unless the relatives are being crows again. It may, however, involve plenty of curry powder.
My cooking triumphs
The French Onion soup I made, first night I had to cook on my own.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make omelettes... 'nuff said. The only dish that has collapsed on me so far, apart from some overcooked egg noodles. Not really a tragedy. Eggs are cheap.

German Chocolate Fudge
I brought this to German class. It's a great recipe and the fudge freezes well if you're like me and you have occasional chocolate craving binges--it'll keep until you really want it, or until you have a mug of hot lemon tea in your hand. You might have to hide it, though.

Quick Italian Vegetable Soup
This really is an excellent recipe. I use beef base and mix up six cups of broth, simply because it's better quality, but this is a minor adjustment and the recipe really doesn't need anything else.
