Danish Rye Bread

Excellent rye bread recipe! I added sun flower seeds for that extra crunch. The dough was rather wet, but the baked bread was fine. Keeps for a long time after baking and can be frozen too.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

I made this with a 6 year old. He thought that icing them was the best party. The cookie itself was a little dry, but fine for a quick recipe.

This recipe made excellent sweet light fluffy rolls. I usually give them an egg yolk glaze before baking them for 15 minutes to make them golden and crunchy on top. I have always omitted the extra butter and just made them into normal rolls. Usually I make an extra batch and freeze them - just pop them into the oven for 12 minutes and you have that lovely fresh baked home made smell and taste.

Honey White Bread

Very nice, light bread. Has a sweet flavour, with a slight tang. I used less powdered ginger than was called for. I also use salted butter, and cut the salt out down. The recipe fits my bread machine, but others may have to scale depending the quanity of their machines.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

My other half looked at me when I told him I was making this and point blank refused to eat it. I ate half of it, and thought it was pretty good- he had some and though that it was edible. I added breadcrumbs to the cheddar cheese, but also found that it doesn't turn crisp when broiled. My dish needed more time in the oven, so I nuked it in the microwave, then returned it with cheese on top, and it turned out fine.

Peanut Butter Noodles

This is a keeper- tastes just like the Thai noodles that you get in Asia. Watch the garlic though, as some may find it a litte overpowering. I've made it several times and use chunky peanut butter, that way I don't have to use crushed peanuts, and it's even quicker!

Easy Mini Quiche

I don't know if it's fair to call it quiche, but they taste good! With a little added colour, courtesy of red pepper finely diced and some spring onion, these look great with a green salad as an appetizer. I've made them several times, and they turn out fine. Tip: You can quickly trip the bread by taking a cup og glass, and making circles. Or just cut off the crust and mold it in!

Artichokes

Keep an eye on the water in your pot- something that helps is to add a splash of vinegar into the water. It may sound odd, but it gives it a nice, very subtle taste. Melting butter and garlic to dip in is wonderful. Depending on their size, they make take longer to cook- you can check if they´re done by trying to tear off a leaf. If it peels away easily, they're done!
