Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
This is a great base recipe! I made it using frozen hashbrown potatoes, & it couldn't have been any easier. I did use fewer eggs, 10 instead of 12 & still came out perfect. Guests raved about it! Husband thought it was excellent with salsa on top. Will make over and over!

Pinwheel Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
Love these! I've made these a couple of times already & my family loves these. My hubby wants these as a meal all the time & even helped me assemble this. The cresent dough does make this a little rich, I'm going to try w/ refridgerated pizza dough next. Thanks for the recipe!

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
This is good! I really like the edge & corner pieces of the cake, the middle pieces seem too creamy. But it's all good! Definetly do the chocolate syrup on top that really makes this dish for me.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
This was awesome! I made 2 pitchers w/ only 1 cup of rum each. My guests said this was great & really strong. I loved the Arbor mist blueberry merlot. I do not recommend drinking any leftovers the next day, I had half a glass & was getting a buzz, plus the flavors were too harsh, not as fruitty. I'll be making this for parties all the time now!

Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
These are good. I was surprised by my hubby who kept saying how much he liked these. I didn't use the olives in the sauce but it still had good flavor. I browned the chimis in a pan w/ pam then put in the oven to heat through. this is a keeper

My 1st time making pot roast & it was great! I used only 1 can of soup & still had a ton of gravy. Cooked using a chuck roast & served w/ mashed potatoes. Ended up freezing part of this & it tasted great the 2nd time around too.

this is a great recipe, very easy to change to your personal taste. I've made this a few times w/out using the sherry, just added extra broth. Freezes very well too.

Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
MMMM! I cut down on the cinnamon, but next time I won't, it gives the cookie a little something different. These are awesome, a little time consuming but worth it for the result. Thanks!

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
Delish! Super easy & tastes great. The only bad thing is that the limeade settles to the bottom of the pitcher, but just keep stirring & it's all good.

Heavenly 'Apple of My Thigh' Dessert

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
Made this for a large group of ladies & kids, it was a hit! I doubled the recipe, but just eyeballed the toppings. I used mini choc chips & bagged toffee bits. Next time will try the sprite trick for the apples, as the granny smiths were the only ones that didn't turn brown. This will be a regular dish for us as it keeps really well in the fridge.

Oat Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Delish! I ground my own oats, so there were little bits of oats in the batter, but still good. I added a dash of cinnamon & a dash of nutmeg, so good. Love this topped w/ strawberry syrup & whipped cream.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
These were great! Way better than frozen fries. I wouldn't say they are better than restaurant fries, but they are way better for you then restaurant fries. I made recipe as stated, except I micro"baked" my potatoes before cutting up & added a little Lawry's salt before serving. I'll be making these again.

Butter Crescents

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
These seemed like a dinner roll you'd get at a steak house. Way better then the refrigerated/ canned crescent rolls. I made 3 batches of these for Thanksgiving. All my guest said they were great. Recipe definately makes more than 1 dozen, unless you want really big rolls. These are just as good w/out the egg brushed on.
