About this Cook
Happily married, no children (unfortunately). I absolutely love & adore all animals- so don't be suprised if I put up some recipes for the furbaby members of our households!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook anything that catches my eye. I'm very good at homemade creations (but horrible at writing measurements since I usually just 'wing it') I can do anything from gravies, soups & marinades on 'up' to roasts, desserts, etc. There isn't anything I won't try! I like re-creating restaurant favorites as well..
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love family pot luck style barbecues, as well as Thanksgiving gathered at my brothers. The only real tradition on that day is "The Twilight Zone" marathon!
My cooking triumphs
I finally mastered Matzoh balls (making them float- light & fluffy) after years of quizzing my mother on how it was done. I couldn't BELIEVE the 'secret'! I learned a lesson of patience from this :)
My cooking tragedies
Popovers! I can never seem to get them to blow up big & beautiful like my mothers- only once in 25 years have I succeeded and I'm not sure what I did- Haha!

Garlic-Cilantro Scrambled Eggs
My husband and I LOVE these eggs! I haven't followed the recipe to a 'T' since the first time- but they're still delish. In fact, I ate a 2 egg serving every day for a week when I first found it! I usually add the jar/minced garlic to the pan for about 30 secs or so in the butter before adding the rest to kill the stregth of garlic a bit- but it depends on your taste. It's definitely a favorite here, and for company I've had for breakfast. It's definitely different!

Not a drinker, but agree with anither reviewer that it's good to sip. For me, it was a happy accident while looking for sauce made with Dr Pepper :)

Baked Bacon Jalapeno Wraps
These were a horrible, drippy mess when the bacon shrunk up in oven. What cream cheese didn't ooze out in oven, fell out on the grill. I tried these 2 different times to be sure with the same result. The peppers themselves lost all flavor and tasted like a soggy green pepper with NO kick. Sorry, I really tried, and even being super careful, they weren't good.
