Italian Sausage and Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
I would have given this 5 stars however I did add 1 to 2 TBs of fresh basil and maybe 1TB of fresh rosemary. I also didn't add the zucchini & squash until about the last 5 mins while it was simmering so that they didn't get mushy. It was really awesome and tasted amazing!

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: May 8, 2014
I only did about a lb of chicken so I halved the spices, butter, lemon & garlic, but I took the advice from the other reviewers and added more liquids. I did about 3/4 cup chicken bouillon & 1/4 cup of white wine. The sauce was the best part of the whole meal!! Served it over angel hair pasta.

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
My husband and daughter do not like cheesy saucy mac n cheese, so I was looking for a recipe that might be a bit on the dry side. This is it and surprising good this way. The cheese sauce was not real heavy. The kielbasa was a nice addition. I also only added about 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs on top & I did a combination of sharp & mild cheddar cheese to make it more kid friendly.

Cindy's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
Never had jambalaya before and I thought this was good. I followed the recipe exactly. I used frozen shrimp so I added them at the end for only about 2 mins to get them hot.

Beef and Bow Ties Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
This was very simple. A lot can be added to this to really spruce it up, however it was good as written.

Gel's Green Beans and Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
I used a full lb of ground beef so I increased the amts of ingredients. I didn't quite double the ingredients however I added about half more of everything and it turned out ok. I'm not so sure increasing the ingredients was necessary as it had alot of flavor. I served it as a main dish but it so desperately needed a starch. Next time I will try it with some kind of pasta. It was very easy and came together quickly.

Cheese Sauce for Broccoli and Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
This tasted good however it was gritty for me. Others didn't seem to mind it, so maybe its was just me.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
If you're busy this is the perfect recipe! Its so easy, cheap & its good! I followed the recipe exactly and served it with broccoli, however veggie would be good with this. My in-laws were here the first time I made it and they loved it too!

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2013
For those who loved this recipe try the Asian Lettuce Wraps from this site. They are very similar to this. My husband made this and left out the orange peel(didn't have an orange) & used half the amount of crushed red pepper so it would be too hot for me who is not a fan of spice & our daughter. I do agree that it could've simmered not as long because the chicken did dry out. Otherwise, it was very good!

Simple Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
I thought this was really good & easy to make. Perfect summer meal. I subbed yogurt for the mayo to suit my husband & daughters' taste, but they didn't like it at all.

Best Ever Slow Cooker Italian Beef Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
This was delicious! I used a rump roast since that's all I had. I also did not use the beef broth in order to reduce the sodium content, just 4 cups of water like some others suggested and I did not add any additional salt and it was perfect!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
So easy and so good!! I even used a cheap barbeque sauce and it was still good. I didn't add the full amt of sugar it called for and I'm glad I didn't because it was sweet enough with the barbeque sauce.

Penne and Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
As written, this recipe was a bit bland. If you add a dash of spices such as rosemary, oregano, basil, garlic powder & red pepper flakes it makes it a five star recipe!! Next time we will try lump crab meat or shrimp.

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
My husband and I loved these! I put frozen spinach (cooked in micro & squeezed out the liquid) & 1-2T of fresh basil in the food processor and added it to the ricotta cheese mixture. I always try to add veggies in wherever I can. I didn't have any mushrooms, but next time I will be sure to add the mushrooms. Unfortunatley, 4 year old didn't enjoy this and she's a good eater. She ate it but didn't love it. Maybe it was the spinach I added??

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
If I hadn't change this alittle I would have given this 5 stars! This is the best recipe I've gotten from this site. What I did differently was I doubled the dry spices and decreased the ketchup & sugar a bit. This was awesome and very very easy!!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken with Bok Choy

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
I will attempt this recipe again, however next time I will half the vinegar and add the rest in chicken broth. The vinegar was too much. The chicken fell off the bone and was very tender and moist. And, the recipe was very easy.

Filipino Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
This was good. I used sirloin steak and marinated it about 20 hours. The meat was very tender. The only thing I would do differently next time is not to coat the meat with corn starch. All that did was create a slime around the beef. Other than that it was a great recipe.
