Sugar-Free Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

I made this bread pudding exactly by the recipe with one exception, I used a dozen biscuits instead of the french bread. I have several Aunts and Uncles who are diabetic and was looking for a new recipe that they could enjoy at a family dinner. This caught my eye because my oldest Aunt had been talking about the great biscuit puddings that my grand mother used to make when they were all growing up. While they all said that this was not quite like what Mom used to make they all enjoyed it very much and three of them had to have copies to make later at home. This was my first experience cooking with Splenda but it was simply fantastic and I will be using it again, probably many times. I will make this pudding again too.

Golden Rum Cake

What a cake!! I can't believe all the negative reviews as I followed the directions to the letter and could not have asked for a better result. The cake was moist but certainly not soggy. The rum glaze was easy to make and delicious. Thanks so much for the tip about pouring the glaze into the pan and reinserting the cake, how easy is that? Everyone loved this cake and most had seconds. I will be making it again.

Basic Bean Soup

This is a excellent soup. I followed the recipe to the letter. My family has a big "Soupfest" the Saturday after Christmas every year and this recipe was a really big hit. I made up a pan of Mexican cornbread to go with it and it was great.

Kim's Ultimate Meatloaf

With the exception of substituting quick oats for cracker crumbs I followed this recipe to the letter. I questioned the cup of water in the sauce as I thought it was too much water and made the sauce thin but it was perfect. My son, who would never eat meatloaf consented to take a bite and loved it. His exact words were, "It's the bomb, Mom!" For those who aren't in the know, that is high praise. There were no leftovers so I can't testify to their goodness but I will be making this one again.
