Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
I usually use another recipe for my waffles (to see it visit my recipe box) but I decided to try this one because you don't have to separate the eggs. It was simpler but not as tasty. Still a good waffle recipe, but I prefer my own.

Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
These mashed potatoes were SOOOOOOOO good! I love salt on everything, but I didn't think these potatoes needed much salt because of the onion, which gave it a delicious flavor. I also sprinkled paprika over them before baking. Delicious! I will definitely make these again.

Ricotta Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
This is a good way to use up left over ricotta cheese. The cookies were easy to make and the dough was yummy. :) I agree with some others, the baked product would be very plain without the almond glaze. The glaze was good with the cookies but very, very runny. I would definitely keep baked cookies in the refrigerator. Kids were suspicious when I told them the cookies had cheese in them, but after tasting them, they said they couldn't even notice the cheese flavor.

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
These are some of the best snicker doodles I have ever tasted! The first time I made them 10 minutes didn't seem to be enough, the cookies were too soft. I put them in for another 3 minutes, still soft. 3 more, still soft. I took them out then to cool and they hardened up quickly! This time I only put them in for 10 minutes before taking them out and they were perfect. A great recipe!

Seven Layer Dip II

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
This was an amazing dip!!! Wonderful with tortilla chips. I used only 4 teaspoons of taco seasoning because 1 ounce seemed like way too much. It was perfect! We also omitted the salsa and used just cheddar cheese.

Italian Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
These are great! and healthy. Usually my family refuses to eat whole wheat, but they loved these rolls! However, when I covered the rolls with a damp cloth and set the timer, 40 minutes later they were only 3/4 of their previous size! I don't know what I did wrong- perhaps my house is too cold! So I preheated the oven to 400 for 1 minute, then turned it off. I put the rolls in the oven to continue rising for 20 minutes. After that they were perfect. We froze half for another time and ate the rest!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
Love it!!!!!! Not to sweet, not to tart. The perfect applesauce recipe, will make it again and again. Everyone loves it. It's also good when you substitute 2 apples for a box of strawberries. Strawberry applesauce- yum!

This is a great recipe!!!!! Very easy to make. After five hours of freezing it was the consistency of soft-serve, and we liked it that way.

The Amazing Swedish Meatball

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
We went to Ikea, a Swedish-based department store, and got Swedish meatballs at their restaurant. They were delicious and we wanted to find one exactly like it. This was the closest we've come. Made with 1 lb. ground pork, 1/2 lb. ground beef based to ingredients on hand. Cut the salt in sauce down to 1 teaspoon, and it was awesome!! Served with egg noodles and mashed potatoes. My mom claimed they were better than Ikea's!!!! Just made these for a second time, the RIGHT way, with 1 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb. ground pork. Just as good, I could barely taste the difference! I also added a little more flour to the sauce to make it slightly thicker. Served to company and they loved it!

Peanut Butter Cocoa No-Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
These are delicious cookies! Only problem is you can't really serve them at a fancy party- they come out looking like lumps of dough, not regular cookies. But they are a great, fast cookie to make and we all love them!

This was dry and crumbly, but I will give it four stars because I most likely did something wrong! It was my first time making fudge.

Old Fashioned Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
This was definitely more of a spice cake, all the spices made it taste like a pumpkin cake too! We liked it, but if you are looking for a crumb cake, I would advise another.

Mushroom Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
These are okay, but I have tasted better cube steaks. Some of my family loved it, some hated it. I thought it was okay. Definitely improved by the mushrooms, and add salt to make it even better.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
This was very good and my family liked it, but I am giving it four stars because it did not taste like my idea of traditional Irish Soda bread.
