Chicken Noodle Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
I loved this recipe!! It was fantastic! The ONLY thing I did different was to add bay leaf and some sage. The noodles are fantastic. You don't have to let it simmer for 2 hours. Just simmer it until the veggies are cooked. I also didn't simmer it after adding the chicken and the corn. I just didn't see the point. I used canned chicken and canned corn and it still came out just great.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
I didn't mind the greasiness of it but I had the worst time with it. I rolled it out and went to put it on the cake and it ripped. Hmm. Try again. I rolled it out, went to put it on the cake and the sides were so heavy that the sides ripped right off and the top was cracked. I followed the recipe EXACTLY too. What a waste. Now I'm off to make cupcakes for my daughters birthday because this was a gigantic disaster.

Green Tomato Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
Yuck, This was gross. Not enough flour so the filling was really runny. I baked it until my crust was golden brown(about 40 minutes) and the tomatoes weren't soft at all. Tasted like green tomatoes doused in watery sugar.

Zucchini Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2005
This recipe is great. Yup, just like apples. I didn't bother boiling the zucchini and it still came out great and saved a step. I did add a little extra flour as the first time I made it it was a little runny but it wasn't runny as soon as it cooled completely. I also added more zucchini for a fuller pie. An EXCELLENT way to use up zucchini

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
I love this recipe. I use the basting sauce on any kind of chicken, boneless, whole, it's good on it all. It is really to die for when you use fresh herbs!

Chocolate Orange Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2004
These are fantastic! I made a ton to give to neighbors at Christmas and they are just awesome. I used different imitation flavors to make a bunch of different kinds. I melted white chocolate and added color to put on the top so we could tell which ones were which. Be prepared to get a little chocolatey when you make these though. I found the best thing to do is use the melon baller to scoop up the filling and then form it into better looking balls by hand. These are excellent

Green Tomato Pasta Toss

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2004
mmmmmm. This was very good. I added garlic with the tomatoes because it seemed like it needed it. I also added a little cajun seasoning for some spunk. I would definately try this. It's a great way to use green tomatoes!

Brunch Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2004
These were great and very easy. Light and fluffy. These are like english scones which I prefer. I found that they were very easy to roll out--not too sticky. Perfect for a light, simple breakfast.

This was fantastic! I'm not on the south beach diet but made this because I had the ingredients for it. My infant daughter loved it too. So good. I will definately be making this in the future.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2004
Boring! I thought these would be better with all the great reviews but they were just normal chocolate chips. I've been looking for a recipe that makes REALLY fantastick chocolate chips and this definately was not it. Even with the butter crisco. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS RECIPE if you want something absolutely fanatastic because this is definately not it. These are just regular cookies.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2003
I usually hate pork chops because they can be so difficult to eat, but I had the meat and I needed to cook it. This recipe was FANTASTIC. The meet was so tender we didn't even use knives to cut it. The gravy was great and went wonderful with rice. I cooked some green peas and this was a complete meal and so simple. I didn't use the wine as I don't ever have alchahol around but it was still great. I highly recommend this.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
This was pretty good and real easy. I didn't find it too salty at all. I did mix the onion soup mix in with the other soups though. I added some broccoli too because I like the green stuff. I put it in the oven at about 200 degrees and let it cook for 3-4 hrs. I was out and this was great because the chicken just fell apart. My husband thought this was great too and it made great leftovers

Buttered Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2003
These were great. They were oh so easy. I didn't have self-rising flour so I added two tsp of Baking powder. I never have buttermilk either so I just put two tsp of lemon juice in the milk and let it sit for a few minutes. I also formed them into biscuits by hand instead of just dropping them. They were so good. My husband loved them.
