About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom with two children, ages 11 and 9. I enjoy trying new recipes and sometimes in the process torturing my kids with them. It's good to try new things! :) I also have a great husband and a very social cat that likes to 'talk' to me while I'm in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I most enjoy baking cookies, cakes and breads. Having said that, I use Allrecipes a lot to find recipes for dinner. I get tired of the same thing and love when I can add something new and delicious to the dinner rotation.
My cooking triumphs
I recently made bagels for the first time. That's definitely something I never thought to make. I used the 'Bread Machine Bagels' recipe from this site. Awesome!

Oven Baked Zucchini Fries
I did a few things differently. It was faster for me to just slice the zucchini (unpeeled). I also used 2 Tbsp. of milk and 1 egg white mixed together, instead of the butter. Near the end of the cooking time, I set the oven to broil to crisp them up. I also, flipped them once half way through baking. Very good!

Cherry-Blueberry Pie
I can see why this has 5 stars! It is so quick and tastes awesome! I did adjust the temperature to 375 and baked for about 45 minutes. 425 is way too hot and will burn the crust. Which happened the first time I baked it. Second time at 375 was perfect. Thanks for submitting!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I
Very good beef stew. An hour before it was done, I mixed 1 tbsp. cornstarch with 2 tbsp. water and added it to the crock pot. Also, I will half the pepper. It was way too peppery for us. Will make again.
