Cheddar Onion Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
Needed more milk to make the dough combine together, about 2 tablespoons more. Also added green onion for color and salt as suggested by other reviewers and these came out wonderful!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Here are some of the mistakes I made: 1) don't used the 225 degree oven for an hour and a half, It took me 3 tries to get the oven temp adjusted so they wouldn't burn and be soggy in the middle, I used 175 for 1 hour 15 minutes with a 15 minute cool down. (my cookies were about the size of a vanilla wafer (bit size basically) and this worked perfectly) 2) Don't use aluminum foil, parchment paper worked much better 3) Don't add more than 1/4 teaspoon of any coloring or flavoring, without fail it made the batter runny and I could not pipe the pretty "swirls" like there are in so many of the pictures, of course if your just going to spoon it onto the baking sheet then this won't be a big problem for you but it was for me. Overall, I give this recipe 2 stars because it took me 3 batches to make the proper adjustments and the cooking temperature was way off

Crispy Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
2 stars because for me these were very bland, next time I make them I will add my own spices and herbs, still its a decent base to start with

High Five Orange Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
WOW, that pretty much sums up these rolls. If heaven smells like anything it is these rolls, my apartment smelled so good while baking them and I absolutely could not wait for them to be done. If you are looking at this recipe and are a first time bread baker do no be put off by kneading the dough. The dough was VERY easy to work with and the 8-10 minute guideline was perfect. My rolls were not dense or mushy at all. I also followed another reviewer and added 5 minutes to the bake time since I was using a glass dish and the rolls came out perfect! I will upload a picture next time I make these because there are none left this morning =) This should be called double high five orange rolls because I will never use another sweat roll recipe again! One more thing, these rolls raised a lot when I baked them so make sure you don't cut them too thick or you might be in trouble! Next time I will just divide the rolls into two pans

Cherry Pie IV

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Absolutely the best cherry pie recipe on here. I used 1lb of frozen dark sweet cherries (thawed before use) and cut the sugar used in half. Served with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and it was to die for!

Yummy Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
This is a wonderful recipe, but I felt it was a little too cheesy. Next time I make this I will cut the cheese in half. Also I used ham instead of bacon and added a tsp of onion powder since I did not have any onions on hand. All in all this recipe is a keeper =)

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Like other reviewers I left out the water, and since I cook for two, cut the recipe in half but kept the topping at the full recipe in order to have a higher crisp to apple ratio. Also, I always cook with macintosh apples since my grandma has a few trees in her yard and we have a lot on hand. Remember if you use these apples to use almost twice as many since they are small apples and tend to shrink quite a bit when cooking. I always think my pan is too full but it ends up being just right with 3-4 extra apples thrown in. Finally, the only reason I did not give this recipe 5 stars is the topping the first time I made it was way too dry, so I cut the flour by a 1/4 cup and I felt it came out perfect the next time.
