Amish White Bread

WONDERFUL! I am TERRIBLE with yeast breads, but this was easy and actually turned out! I live at high altitude (6,300 ft) and it turned out amazing... soft, delicious, easy. Now, it did take longer for it to rise, instead of 1 hour on initial rising, I left mine overnight. YUM

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

Really very good... and I was skeptical! But I was desperate... it was one of those nights where I hadn't gone to the grocery store in weeks and the only thing available to prepare was a pound of defrosted ground beef! I had most of the ingredients required... used mild Rotel bc I didn't have the diced tomatoes, and used a can of southwest black beans with corn... i did have to add some chicken stock, and I also used 2 bags of noodles, instead of 1. Everyone loved it and said this was a keeper! My husband is very picky but loved it, as did my 10, 9 and 7 year olds! Thanks!

Yum and easy... changes I will make for next time: chop hot dogs in chunks so there's mean in every bite; add more cheddar to mix.

Pear Pockets

I really wanted to try these to have something other than traditional sandwiches to put in my kids lunches... I used the AR magazine "from our kitchen" suggestions. I fed them to my three kids plus two of their friends (ages 6, 8, 7, 8, 9)... they ate them up but all complained it was too much peanut butter and cinnamon was too strong. The pockets were good, and I will try them again... however here are some changes I will try: a little less PB, less cinnamon and possibly mix with just a bit of sugar, more cheddar in each pouch. I also wonder if it could be better with pie crust? I guess that would be making it less healthy, though!
