Oven Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2003
I thought these were very good. I left out the red pepper because my stepson doesn't like it. I left my oven at 450 and flipped the fries after 15 minutes and they turned out fine--didn't burn or stick. Great recipe!

Panettone II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2003
This bread is wonderful! I used a combination of golden raisins, chopped dates, and currants, and it tastes so good! The texture is great, too. I would definitely recommend making this bread--and don't just wait for Christmas! It may be a Christmas bread, but it is very tasty anytime!

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2003
These cookies are awesome--they came out perfectly! I was a little skeptical of them staying chewy instead of getting crunchy, but these did! *clapping* I will never make a different chocolate chip cookie recipe again. These were just perfect--not cake-like at all, not too crispy. I am definitely going to try more of Beth Sigworth's recipes!

Portuguese Sweet Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2003
This bread is delicious! It rises a lot, or at least it did in my machine--it pushed up against the lid as it was baking. It is a very soft bread, so you won't be able to slice it very thin, but that's ok because it is so light.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2003
These are excellent! Make sure to let them cool on the cookie sheets for about 2-3 minutes before removing or they may fall apart. These cookies taste wonderful with extra raisins.

Tiny Chicken Turnovers

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
These are awesome! I used leftover chicken from the night before and I just shredded it. I added a bit more cream cheese and seasonings. I also made the pastry circles larger to allow more of a filling inside and had to bake them longer because of this. Even my picky husband loved these and requested that I make more to put in the freezer for his lunches!
