Easy Chicken and Broccoli Divan

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
Sorry 3 1/2 to 4 stars for me. It was good but it wasn't great. In my opinion it was a bit overkill with the broccoli. I will substitute the creamed brocoli with cream of chicken soup instead next time that way it still incorporates the chicken, or perhaps double the recipe and do one of each for a larger family like mine. However it is super easy to make for a weeknight meal.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
Oh So Yummy!!! Had a party for one of my Teenage girls and for those of you who do not know, Teens can put food down. Well they loved these. My Nephew came over next day asked if there was left overs cause he was dreaming of them. There wasn't any to give. They were all gone, all 50 of them. I didn't change a thing, and I added the pickles. I'll make this for all our get togethers from birthdays to superbowls. They are soooo good. Did I say they're good? Thanks Minnesota Girl!!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
Great stuff! I made these and the sliders (another recipe from All recipes) for my Teenage Daughters Birthday. All the kids enjoyed them very much. I didn't change a thing. But I used Marie Calendar's Cornbread batter and used Ball Park Franks. I cut them in half and then half again and for every muffin I put 3 peices in the tin. They were great. My neice wants me to make them for her daughters birthday too. Thanks Tina3031 !!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
These were good. At least thats what my kids tell me I never even got to have one. Depends on how big you want the cookie is how many you'll get. I guess I"ll make them smaller so it looks like more and funny thing they don't spread out too much. Making them for my sons Base ball team. Maybe this time I'll get one.

Chicken Tortilla Soup IV

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
This one is one of my families favorites I do make a few changes now that I have been making it for so long. I cook the chicken breast or sometimes boneless skinless thighs, and grab two forks and shred the meat. I add 1 can of diced tomatoes 1 can of drained and rinced black beans, you can use pinto too, and 1 can of Mexican corn (not Hominy) with one small bottle of your favorite store bought chunky salsa and 2 tablespoon of lemon juice. I double the recipe so the whole thing works for me. After all that melds together nicely. When I go to serve it I put a handfull of tortilla chips at the bottom of the bowl push down slightly to crunch them up a bit and serve on top, garnish with Monterey jack cheese and a dollop of sour cream. It is soo good they'll come back for seconds. Sometimes I'll put the chicken in the slow cooker and when I come home from work I just have to shred it and add all the ingredients. It's my Go To when I'm short on time for dinner.

Best No-Bake Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
It was my Best Friends Birthday and he said he didn't want anything. I said well what do you want to eat? I'll make you your favorite food, Whatever. He found this recipe handed it to me and said "make me this, I Love Cheesecake, there thats my birthday present" Okay I thought I've never made a cheescake before this will be interesting. Funny enough, it's like it was meant to be. I had everything on hand. Whipped it up in a jiff. It was awesome! The hardest part was having to wait for it in the fridge. We waited about 3 hours couldn't do it any more. We should have, cause it was still soft, but we didn't. I will definitely make this again!! Maybe this time I'll wait.

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Good stuff! I liked everything. I also omitted the MSG. Also I'm sure it was in the package of onion soup anyway. I drained it well and it wasn't as crumbley as everyone made it seem. But I left it in the oven about 10-15 minutes longer to prevent that a bit. Good all around with some mashed potatoes and Corn on the cob good dinner!!

Fricase de Pollo

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
This was sooo good. I'm Cuban American, I forgot all about this recipe (DUH). It brought back Tons of memories of my Mom in the Kitchen. I'm extremely afraid of a presure cooker ( Boom!! comes to mind) but I used a Dutch oven, over the stove. I made it how my Mom showed me. I made it with Chicken thighs and legs and browned them in the pan a little but not cooked through. My Mom would add Green olives to the Fricasse. I also used Green bell pepper, Onions, Lots of Garlic and a Bay leaf with some Vino Seco, (dry white wine) tomato sauce with a little water. Don't forget to scrape the bottom of the pan for the chicken drippings. Took about 35 to 45 minutes and the chicken was coming off the bone. Mmmmm, so good my family loved it. I'll be making this again. Con platanitos fritos.

Banana Pudding Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
I made this for a bar-b-que at our place. I should have made more, people were having seconds saying how much they loved it, and how long it has been since they have had banana pudding. It's so nice you can make something from a long time ago and make it new again. Definitely A KEEPER!!

Black Forest Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
It was ok, I used Chocolate pudding and a yellow cake mix, it was all I had on hand. Same principle just switched the flavors. Since it was the first time I made this, I wasn't too sure if I should have put it back in the oven or take it out the way it was. It was too gooey. I was kinda expecting a "cake like" substance. It sat and sat my kids wouldn't even eat it. Sorry not for me.

Bob Evans® Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
I made this for a bar- b - que at the house as a side dish. Ooohs and Mmmmms from all over. First time I've ever made this and so easy you can still hang out with everyone, and not get stuck in the kitchen. Great Stuff!! I made this again for our Fathers day BBQ and it wasn't as good as the first time. This time it was make and bake... if you know what I mean? The last time it had to sit, for an hour or so, because I had something all ready in the oven. Last time I think the difference is the flavors were able to get to know eachother a little longer and got married as compared to this time it was ok but no oohs and aahs. And that's no fun I like the oohs and aaahs..

Tamale Pie Pronto

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
This was soooo YUMMY!! I did make a few changes but nothing to crazy it would alter it all that much: I made the ground beef added some spices, added canned black beans ( instead of Chili... cause I did not have any ) canned corn and Rotel tomatoes with green chillis ( instead of the chopped tomatoes ) and still added the canned tomatoe sauce. I did not add the biscuits as bottom crust I added it as a Top crust, ( cause honestly I did not read it correctly and was cooking in a hurry) But it was pretty close to one of the best casserole dishes I have ever made!! maybe next time I'll make it as it says to, Chilli beans sound yummy too! Kids love it!! with a dollop of Sour cream Oh So Good!! KEEPER!!
