CARNATION® Famous Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I absolutely love making this fudge, and my family and friends absolutely love it when I make it too! With this recipe you can use any kind of chips (chocolate, peanut butter, butter scotch) and it always turns out awesome! But, mind you, I always omit the nuts and it still turns out fabulous.

WOW!! Incredible! It IS very rich but its soooo good! the rice krispy crust tastes like a crunch chocolate bar and it compliments the peanut butter cake so well! Absolutely incredible! BE WARNED THOUGH, only have a small amount, it IS VERY rich and heavy in the belly.

Maine Lobster Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I made this for christmas eve (catholic and we dont eat meat on christmas eve) and although very rich, it was a total hit! I used a huge can of fresh and cooked lobster meat, as well as a few cans of crab meat. Everyone loved it! All my guests took some for left overs! I don't give out 5 stars very often unless I am super impressed....This deserves AT LEAST 5! Thanks for the awesome recipe

Shrimp Tempura

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
OMG!! This is such a great tempura recipe!!! i didnt have corn starch or shortening, i substituded for corn meal and butter and it STILL turned out amazing! I made onion rings with the recipe and dusted garlic salt when I took them out of the oil. I made about 2-3 onions and in about...15-20 minutes, the plate was licked clean, my family ate them all, I think I only had a couple to taste. Im making more as I type but I had to review it first! Definitely a keeper!!!

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I have no clue what everyone is talking about when people said the batter is too runny, it was thicker then anything I had to deal with. dusting the hot dog with flour only made the batter not stick to the dog even more, I had to dry the dogs first. The batter texture is a 4 stars...the taste is a sure 5! more then a 5, I did add a bit of chili powder just for a bit of a kick. These DID NOT last long! My husband and son DEVOURED them, and left me one so I can critic! lol they absolutely loved them! This recipe is a definate keeper, I just gotta figure out how top make this batter a bit more runny

Beer Pancakes

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
COORS LIGHT....Thats the beer to use, it doesnt have much taste and the pancakes turn out fairly fluffy. The picture is VERY decieving, the batter is Very runny, but a very good tasting pancake, I was very shocked. However it didnt yield as many as I would like. Very tasty though.

WOW, you werent kidding when you said they were hot. I even tried numbing the recipe by adding tomato paste, a bit of milk, some ketchup, garlic bbq sauce, and a bit of ranch dressing. It turned out awesome and everyone loved it. . .as soon as their mouths stopped burning! I love it, Perfect recipe, definately a keeper!

Mini Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
OH MY GOD, these meat balls are amazing!! I used only normal bread crumbs, and tomato paste, (instead of pizza sauce) and normal tomato soup with my own spices ( I liek a lot of garlic) and they still turned out soooooo gooooooood!! This recipe is DEFINATELY a keeper!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
Wow, I was really surprised about these cookies. I followed everything to a tee and they didn't turn out. They burnt on the bottom (used parchment paper and they still burnt...I don't get it) and the taste was too bitter. There was too much baking soda. Next time, use less baking soda.

Dinah's Stuffed Mushrooms

The batter was too dry, Very tasty and non the less very delicious, very very dry, hard to stuff when your filling is falling everywhere instead of the mushroom and I did half the recipe.

Mussels Mariniere

Very nice, I loved it. I did have to alter the timing though, instead of 2-3 minutes, I had to cook for 5-7 minutes to get the slimyness cooked. Either way, delicious. A must have!

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

these do taste a lot like Banana chocolate chip muffin Tops. Good non the less, I added, instead of suger, Nutra-Sweet, also I put in 1/2 butter instead of 2/3 butter. Good, very tasty, if you like muffin tops. . . I know I do ;)

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
OMG wow! These are phenomenal! I made them a lil smaller (16 pretzels), cooked time at 5 minutes and left them in the warm oven for 30sec-1min after I turned the oven off. Also let the yeast proof for 10 minutes before adding the flour. ALSO, I made the 3 flavours! I added Parmesan cheese to the garlic salt ones and the cinnamon/sugar ones didn't last long at all!!! Definitely a keeper!
