I made this recipe at least five or six times already, and have always received rave compliments on my pulled pork!
I use pork shoulder or pork butt (so much cheaper for same results), pour in the root beer, and forget about it for 8 hours.
One night I only had 3 hours, so I cooked it on high for 3, and the pork wasn't tender enough to pull apart. I did the next best thing, sliced it up thinly, and put it back in the crock pot with Sweet Baby Ray's Brown Sugar BBQ sauce liberally slathered on everything. At the potluck, everyone RAVED about my BBQ pork, it may have been better received than my pulled pork!
Regardless, I love cooking pork this way - it's no fail tender pork! Thanks so much for the recipe!
