About this Cook
I love cooking and learning new recipes! I grew up being in the kitchen helping my mom cook, took some culinary classes and now I just cook whenever I have the chance. I love to hear from whoever tries my food to say "Wow, this is good" that's my feeling of accomplishment! I love cooking for my family & will teach my daughter the same. Sometimes it may not come out the right way the first time but I'll keep trying til it's perfect! Also am a local Las Vegas artist.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking all kinds of food! I make sure to master all my husbands favorite meals to keep him happy. But I'll cook just about anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mothers - Spaghetti My father-in-laws - Chicken Pot Pie
My cooking triumphs
My Citrus Chicken, Garlic & Basil Salmon, Red Wine Pork Tenderloin, and Mushroom & Masala Filet Mignon
My cooking tragedies
Never serve 1st time recipes for the Holidays. I made these Rum Balls; brownies, rum coated in chocolate (Really good) but I put way too much Rum in the brownies. Could of gotten drunk just smelling them. I did try them again the next Christmas and they came out perfect. Huge hit!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan
This was very easy to make and delicious. I however used mozzarella instead, and I butterflied my chicken breast. I'll definitely have to make a big batch and freeze some of it to have easy homemade meals

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
These were so easy and delicious! But I did make a bit of a change I added 2 Tbl. of flour to thicken the dough and it was great!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
I was very happy this recipe came out great. Mostly because when I told my MIL I was going to make an apple pie she laughed and said "Ooh ok!" So,Yes! I'm very happy with the outcome of this pie :D I made it a second time, and wanted to add a little tartness too it so added a bit of Lime juice which really help bring down the sweetness of the flour/sugar mixture. Next time I'll do a mix of green & red apples. Also as delicious the sound of having a slice of pie straight out of the oven sounds, it will be too liquidy let it sit for at least an hour and it will all hold together nicely and will be easier to slide out of the pie dish nicely too.
