About this Cook
I love cooking and learning new recipes! I grew up being in the kitchen helping my mom cook, took some culinary classes and now I just cook whenever I have the chance. I love to hear from whoever tries my food to say "Wow, this is good" that's my feeling of accomplishment! I love cooking for my family & will teach my daughter the same. Sometimes it may not come out the right way the first time but I'll keep trying til it's perfect! Also am a local Las Vegas artist. http://szapata07.wix.com/art-by-sarah- http://www.facebook.com/Art.by.Sarah.Newbert
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking all kinds of food! I make sure to master all my husbands favorite meals to keep him happy. But I'll cook just about anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mothers - Spaghetti My father-in-laws - Chicken Pot Pie
My cooking triumphs
My Citrus Chicken, Garlic & Basil Salmon, Red Wine Pork Tenderloin, and Mushroom & Masala Filet Mignon
My cooking tragedies
Never serve 1st time recipes for the Holidays. I made these Rum Balls; brownies, rum coated in chocolate (Really good) but I put way too much Rum in the brownies. Could of gotten drunk just smelling them. I did try them again the next Christmas and they came out perfect. Huge hit!

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing
The icing came out very watery so I had to add more confectioners sugar to thicken it up so the taste was overwhelmingly sweet for me and it wasn't this nice white as the pictures show I guess I'd have to use like a clear color vanilla extract. So I only ended up using it as a crumb coat cover and made a different frosting.

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken
This came out really good, both my husband and I enjoyed it! And it was in the slow cooker so even better! You get the homemade meal without all the work!! Loving it!

Ham Breakfast Braid
Amazing, this recipe was a big hit!! I made it for a potluck brunch so many people were asking for the recipe. It's much easier than it sounds when it comes to how to make the braid design. Just lay the 2 crescent on the baking sheet forming a rectangle and just pull the already shaped out triangles over the egg filling. So delicious, very creamy eggs this is going to be my new family recipe I shall pass down to my kids!
