Red Velvet Cake V

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
If you don't like the taste of heaven then don't make this cake. This is only the second cake I have ever made and I have to say it was sooo good. I made it for my fiances birthday and he and his family loved it. One small peice is very filling and satisfying. It just melts in your mouth. I tried a little from the middle before I put frosting on it and I didn't even want to put frosting on it because the cake itself was so good (and I'm not usually a big fan of cake) So I would recomend this to anyone. Its like a cake brownie! And it would feed 14 people it's so dense. Very good! This will will be my go to cake for sure! Thank you so much!!!

Soooo good. Just made them for my husband and I coudn't keep my hands off them! My picky 2-year old loves them too. Flour up your hands and the dough is easy to handle, no need to regrigerate. Just like a pb&j only so much better! I will be making these again and again! I wouldnt change a thing! Thank you so much!

Made these for christmas. They were just like my grandmothers, after a couple times of trying. You have to mix them until it wraps around the beaters or it turns out like taffy. Its sooo good! Thank you so much!

Caramels

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I made these for christmas and screwed them up big time! First, I didn't realize it was going to take an hour to make.... And before it reached temperature I realized I forgot to add the heavy whipping cream! But I poured it in anyways and cooked for another hour, resulting in some burned ingredients.... And they were impossible to cut after they cooled. We broke off peices and they were kind of a hard candy. I took them to my family anyways... They loved them! So did I! I don't know what you could do to mess this recipe up! Next year I won't forget any ingredients and give myself time to make them... But I will, for sure! Be making these again! :)

Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I made these for christmas this year. They were really good, came out perfect... Everyone who tried them liked them... But no one really ate much and I had a lot left over and I have a huge family. I think they were just too sweet. I couldn't eat much of it. Good though!

Edible Spiders

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
I burnt half a bag of chocolate before I realized this recipe wasn't going to work. Ended up having to cover the spiders with the chocolate with my fingers. I used reeses peices for eyes. They turned out really cute but the kids werent that interested in them and the legs didn't taste very good. But there are plenty of other good recipes for halloween here!

Bloody Broken Glass Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
I am just begining to learn to cook and I bought a candy thermometer just for this recipe. When I made the glass it turned out perfect but I had way too much left over. So I cut the recipe in half and poured it in the center of the pan in an oval shape. It gave me more presentable "shards". And I tried making the blood 5 or 6 times and it never came out to the right color or consistency. It just wouldnt stick to the glass as it ran down and it did turn out too dark or even purple. I found the best thing was to just drop the red food coloring right on the glass it it comes out perfect! Instead of cupcakes I used frosten brownies and everyone liked them so much more!
