Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This was a very tasty and easy recipe. I only used one can of diced tomatoes with chili's, and one can of regular diced. Sub the beer with chicken broth, and I didn't have chili beans so used one can of ranch beans. Served with corn bread. This is a keeper.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
My husband really liked this soup, I thought it was a little thick. The only modification was I put the bacon in a bowl and let everyone put their own amount in the soup. It was an easy recipe and very filling.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This is so easy and so tasty! I serve it on buttered toasted buns and sometimes for a different twist I serve it with melted provolone cheese and sauteed onions and mushrooms.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
I am going to give this 4 stars due to the fact it was easy, and had a great coconut flavor. Though the coconut sauce was just too sweet for my taste. I think I will make the cake again and leave the sauce off.

Garlic Bubble Ring

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
This was easy and had a nice garlic flavor. I did others suggested and put the remainder of the butter on top. Next time I will use fresh garlic and maybe add some parmesan chesse to the butter mixture for a different twist.

Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This is really good. I added smoked sasauge which gave it a nice flavor. It was really thick so I served the rice on the side instead of cooking it all together. Add as much spice as you need, I made it really spicy.

Tail Burner Firehouse French Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
This was a nice twist to oridinary frozen fries. I added all the seasonings except omitted the chili powder, and added only one tablespoon of lemon pepper, and one tablespoon of onion powder. I mixed all the spices in a small bowl and sprinkled it over the fries. Though this makes alot of seasoning and I only used half the bowl and it was still very spicy.

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
These are great. I added the salsa to some refried beans and put the beans on the tortilla chips and cooked my chicken breast with some taco seasoning. I put the tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole on the side! These were a nice alternative to eating out.

Best Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2006
We thought this recipe was okay. It seemed a little greasy to me and the flavor was just okay. Doubt I will make again, but thanks for the post.

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2006
This is so good and easy. I did as others suggested and added the 2 whole jars of spagetti sauce and it made it very saucy and all the sauce seemed to take away from all the different cheese flavors. Also don't cut back on the cheese that is what makes it so great. Next time I will follow the recipe exactly. Will definitely make again!

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
This was easy and very moist. I did however double the cinnamon and doubled the sugar topping and added some brown sugar into the topping. I split the loaf and swirled half of it in the middle and then swirled the other part on top of the loaf. It gave it a nice flavor. This is a great alternative to coffee cake. Will definitly make again.

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
This started off a bit bland so I had to spice it up a bit. I added some thyme, a bay leaf, and some fresh garlic. It still seemed a bit bland so at the end I added a package of brown gravy which made a richer gravy. Next time I will add my potatoes the last hour of cooking because alot of them fell apart. This has potential and was a good base recipe for stew.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
This was a really great crock pot recipe. We really enjoyed the flavor of the dish and it was great to have a nice quick meal on a day I didn't feel like cooking. I did add a can of beef broth for the wine, bouillon, and water. I also seasoned the beef with flour, onion powder, garlic, and pepper. Be careful of adding salt due to the beef broth. I am so glad I didn't add any extra salt because it would have ruined the dish. I am not sure if the seasoned beef helped thicken up the dish because at the end it was quite soupy. (So I will next time skip this step to save some time). So I dumped it in a pot added some corn starch and cooked it for about 20 more minutes. ( I just don't have luck thicking with corn starch in the crock pot without it tasting like corn starch). This gave me a thick gravy and then I stirred in all of the sour cream and it was great! Served with hot buttered noodles and it was a very hearty meal.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
This was good, just the roll part seemed a little dry. The cream cheese icing is to die for. These were somewhat effortless making the dough in the bread machine.
