Marshmallow Treats

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
These were so good and gooey. My kids and I couldn't stop eating them and they were a hit our cookout. I followed the tips some of the others suggested and ended up using the whole bag of marshmallows and rice krispies with a whole stick of butter. Which was great so I didn't have half a bag of marshmallows hanging around in the cabinet. Thanks for sharing will be making this alot this summer.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
I just used the marinate for some chicken breast since I didn't have the pineapple on hand. These turned out very moist and flavorful. Even my picky 4 yr old who complained about grilled chicken told me this was the best chicken I have ever made! So with that being said I will be making this very often and next time with the pineapple.

Double-Cheese Eggs Benedict

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
This was my first time to make Eggs Benedict and it was a hit at our Easter Brunch. What a great and elegant dish that took very little time. Don't let the fear of poached eggs scare you. Once I got the time down (3 min.) for my eggs they were perfect and the sauce was very light and tasty.

I did double dip the chicken and it fried up with a great golden crust. Other than that I followed it exactly.

I am so impressed with how moist, and chewy these brownies baked up. This is one of the best brownie recipes I have tried on this site.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
This brought back nostalgic memories of my Grandma's house.....I did cut back the corn starch but other than that I didn't change a thing. I think eating it warm with some whipped cream and sprinkle of cinnamon is the best! Thanks for the post.

Made these as stated and they turned out very light and moist. Based on taste after making a couple decided to add about a tbs of sugar and some vanilla.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
These were good and nice change in potatoes. I did however double the sauce, diced the onions, and added some garlic power.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
So simple and so good. I did cut the crushed pepper in half since I was making a pizza for the kids but next time I will make a spicy batch for the hubby and I since we love heat. I will skip the jar stuff from now on and I love the fact I can control the quality of ingredients.

These cookies were a hit at Christmas! They will go down on my list for "must make" holiday cookies. Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Calzone Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I didn't use the dough recipe (I used Jays Signature Pizza Crust) but used the method. I did some as regular pepperoni pizza rolls and the rest with the "supreme" filling. I loved the idea and will use the pizza roll concept for a different twist.

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
This was a hit a Christmas Eve. The only difference was I used a can of drained Bavarian Sauerkraut and 1/2 pound of deli shaved corned beef. I put it in my crock pot on low and then before I served it I drizzled the Thousand Island dressing on top. Serve with some of the Triscuit Rye crackers if you can find them in your grocery store. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Holiday Mimosa

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I gave my sister in law the task of making the Christmas brunch cocktail and she came in with this little gem! Oh my it was so good that 3 of us drank the whole pitcher ourselves. Oh and don't skip the sugar rimmed glass it gave it the right festive touch.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I placed this in the crock pot on low for about 7 hours and it turned out very moist. I did layer some onions on top of the roast and then poured the marinated over the top. The only change was I did add some fresh crushed garlic to the marinade.

Everyone gobbled these down at dinner! I followed some of the other reviews and mixed garlic in the mix and then topped with garlic butter! I have a feeling I will be making these all winter to go with our soups!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Great brownie...followed others suggestion of spliting the sugar with some brown sugar. I did put them in my 9x13 pyrex and baked them about 30 minutes and they were perfect. My mother in law who normally passes on dessert had 2 pieces herself! Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Simply the Easiest Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
The only problem I see with this is the cooking temperature. I followed the recipe but cut the temp to 200 and cooked in all night. It was falling apart the next day and was so moist. I sereved it at our Labor Day cookout and got tons of compliments. Next time I will use my favorite bar b que sauce since this one didn't seem to have much flavor.

Hot Chicken Sandwiches II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
By no means is this gourmet but for a quick alternative to take out this hits the spot. I used a big can of chicken breat from Sams Club and a can of cream of celery and cream of mushroom. My kids ate it on buns without much complaints which is always a good thing.
