Hawaiian Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
This bread was really good. I actually made sandwiches with it. If you take a piece of bread, spread it with some diijon mustard, put on some lettuce, swiss cheese and deli ham, then another piece of bread, it makes a great Hawaiian style sandwich. Serve it with some plain potato chips and milk and you've got a great meal for a warm night! Thanks for the wonderful, splendiforous recipe!

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Woo-wee these were good. I actually made one and a half of the recipe, but I only added enough garlic and salt for one recipe, and it was perfect! This is an awesome recipe and I will definitely make it again!!!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2004
Mmmmm...C'est trés trés bon! I made this for a family in France and they loved it. Just one word of caution: NEVER make this with a vegetable oil spread. The French family for which I was making this gave me this stuff called Omega 3, which I've been using the entire time for everything else I've baked, and the results were horrendous. I ended up with this weird custardy layer at the bottom and all my crumb topping sank to the bottom. Fortunately they'd never had it before, so they didn't know! ;) It was totally my fault for doing that, and it may be the reason that other people's have turned out weird too. Still, I'm giving it five stqrs because the flavor's so good. I'll definitely try this again and with ingredients that will make it turn out correctly.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2004
This really is quite simple and good. When I made this I didn't even have the right ingredients and it still turned out. It's really quite nice if you brush it with egg whites and dust it with sugar. I highly recommed this. C'est trés, trés facile et c'est trés, trés bon! J'aime ça beaucoup!

Vegetarian Cake

This stuff is wonderful. My dad threw away our grater, so I just thinly sliced the carrots and potatoes and used apple sauce instead and it still was awesome. We eat this stuff constantly. Thanks very much.

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
This stuff is awesome! I didn't feel like making cupcakes so I just made a 13x9 pan and cooked it for 30 minutes. It is really soft and moist and good. I made it Saturnday night and half of it was gone in about 2 hours. It is very, very good and I heartily recommend it!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
This might seem like a weird thing to review in the middle of summer, but I actually made it with peaches because none of the peach crisp recipes looked that good. I used 5 cups of fresh peaches cut into thin slices. I then put on half the amount of sugar, the full amount of flour and cinnamon, and one quarter cup of water. I love lots of topping, so I made twice the amount of it, using traditional rolled oats, not quick cooking, so some of the extra juices were absorbed, but there was still a nice crunchy layer on top. I hope that some other people who have had troubles with too much sweetness or water are helped by these hints and I cannot wait to try this recipe in the fall with apples. Thanks so much for such a wonderful recipe that can be used with such a variety of fruits!

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
I made these for all of the people in the kitchen at the restaurant where I work. They loved them and even started fighting over them! I put all of the ingredients in the bread maker and let that make the dough, then finished them and let them rise. I baked them at work and then frosted them while still in the pan. Thanks!

Greek-Style Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
This is a wonderful recipe. I did tweek it a little per others reviews. I added the pepper to the pork and onion mixture and after putting the tomato puree in I added marjoram, thyme, and oregano and cooked the mixture down for just a few minutes. This took care of the bland problem for me, and hopefully it will work for others as well

Baked Tofu Bites

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
I loved this dish! As a girl trying to find enjoyment in food again after an eating disorder, this is something I love to eat. It is so tasty because the "barbecue sauce" gets so nice and caramelized on the little bites of tofu. So good with brown rice and mixed vegetables! Mmmmm...

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
My family and I have been making this for years! We love it because it does not get crunchy and dried out during baking. It works well with leftovers and is very quick. We sometimes leave out all the filling part and just mix milk and cream cheese. Careful covering with foil b/c the cheese will stick to it if you don't do something to keep it away form the melting cheese. ENJOY!!!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I am working on a farm at the moment and need as much nutrient and food-value (calorie is a BAD word for me,so I avoid it like the plague!)dense snack food as I can get. These definitely fit the bill. Each time I've made them I've been missing an ingredient but they've still been good. I make a double recipe in the same size pan and bake it for 1 hour. I've used half of the wheat germ and the other half wheat flour, maple syrup, nuts, and all oatmeal and no wheat germ. The maple syrup makes a moister bar, but it still works. So good and good for you! Thanks for the recipe!

Honey Graham Crackers

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
These were really, really easy to make! I had tried another recipe before and they didn't turn out at all, but this one worked perfectly. I actually ended up par-freezing the dough to make it easier to roll out and then baked them for 13 minutes. At fifteen minutes a few of them burned which was my fault 'cause I wasn't watching them closely enough. Great with Carnation Instant Breakfast and fruit for lunch or Pastry cream and coffee for dessert! Mmmmmm...

These were fantastic. It is the first time I have ever made biscotti successfully. Very easy and tasty, I made them for my older sister's boyfriend as part of a cookie tin for Christmas! Thanks so much for a fool-proof, delicious cookie recipe!
