I made this for the first time tonight. To make it healthier I used 98% fat free cream of chicken soup. At another reviewer's suggestion I decided to roll out the biscuit dough (Pillsbury Grands Jr, Flaky) and cut into 1/2 inch strips. After I added the 1st package of dough the sauce was too thick to take anymore. So, I left it at 1 can and was glad that I did. I ended up adding about 1/2 of chicken broth to thin the sauce a tad bit. I decided to add some frozen mixed veggies (beans, corn, carrots) for some added nutrition. After reading other's thoughts on doing so I decided the best way would be to cook them on the stove, drain all water off very well and then mix into slow cooker JUST before serving. This turned out to be GREAT! Excellent flavor and all of my picky little eaters at it!! Woo HOO!! This will definitely be put into the meal rotation! Thank you for the recipe.
