I'm engaged to a wonderful man, I have 2 children from a previous marraige. I am a desk supervisor at a hotel, and I LOVE to cook. I especially love to experiment, and I hate eating the same things over and over unless they are REALLY special. The only thing that may stop me from cooking more than I actually do is doing dishes...
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pasta, seafood, and making up my own casseroles. I love to try gourmet foods as well.

We don't really have any traditions per se as far as cooking goes.
My cooking triumphs
One of my recent triumphs was when I learned to cook risotto...it came out perfect the first time! But every time I cook something that people love, that to me is a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
too many to mention, but one that comes to mind was when I attempted to make chicken enchiladas from scratch (sauce and everything) for an old boyfriend when I was still a novice cook...he ate them and then promptly threw up...all the tomatoes in the sauce upset his stomach. OOps!

'Day Before Payday' Kielbasa and Corn Hash
I made this today...eating it right now as a matter of fact, and it is fabulous! Easy, inexpensive and tasty! I have made variations of hashes in the past but I think this one is the best. I did make some changes to the recipe though. I used fresh onions and peppers rather than frozen, and I added mushrooms and 2 cloves of fresh garlic. I cooked the potatoes by themselves for about 15 minutes before I added everything else. In my other variations of hash I used to add eggs to the mixture itself, but this way was much better. Rather than dirty up another pan, however, I just transferred the hash to a serving dish and cooked the eggs in the same pan. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you!

Cheesy Ramen Noodles
Like other reviewers, I also can't believe that A)this "recipe" is on this site, and B)that I tried it...but I was starving, and not wanting to cook anything (because I was too hungry). I tried this with a bit of trepidation, I mean, how good can it be? Well, it was truly awesome! This is now my new favorite way to cook ramen noodles! I ate mine with ritz crackers...fantastic!

Asian Orange Chicken
Tasted almost exactly like the orange chicken I can get at any restaurant! VERY time consuming, but that doesn't take away from the flavor. Next time I think I will cheat a little on the chicken, but definitely not the sauce. I made this for my hubby's birthday. Orange Chicken is his favorite, and he was NOT disappointed! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
