Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
This was my first time making and tasting any type of Shepherd's pie, but I didn't care for it. Way too many potatoes and onions, not enough meat, and way too bland.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Amazing! I made this today for our Christmas Eve dinner both my husband and I both agree that it's the best lasagna we've ever had. After reading other reviews I did change the 1 Tbsp salt to 1 tsp. I also had to go with cottage cheese since I couldn't find ricotta in stock anywhere, and omitted the egg (food allergy in the family). So delicious! Thank you!

Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2012
Here's the thing. The flavor... AMAZING! I'm giving it 3 stars because like some other reviewers, it would not cook. Even after 50 minutes it was still very mushy on the inside with a hard crust on the top. I think you really have to cut down the oil or something. It was more like a bread pudding.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I'm almost speechless. Hands down, the best bread I've ever had. (I even used applesauce in place of the eggs since my daughter has an egg allergy). I made this with intention of at least freezing one of the loaves, but it never made it that far. Can't wait to make it again this weekend! Thank you for sharing.

Golden Oven Omelet

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Made this for brunch this weekend and it was a huge hit. I did add 1/4 cup minced onion, 1 cup diced ham, and a cup of cheddar cheese before baking, and only used 1 tsp salt instead of 2. It took about 45 minutes to cook. Our guests loved it and it was soooo easy to throw together. We will definitely be using this recipes on a regular basis from now on.

Spicy Shrimp and Grits

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I LOVE this recipe! To be honest, I've never had Shrimp and Grits but have been curious for a long time so decided to give it a go! Unbelievable! I definitely have to say the leftovers got better by the day and I think we've found a new favorite dish in our home! Thank you!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Love this recipe! I recommend doubling the sauce to really fill the tortillas up and piling a ton of cheese on before putting it in the oven. :) Delicious!

5-Minute Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
YUM! After reading other reviews and also being a huge fan of "chunky" guacamole - I just mashed the ingredients with a fork (after mincing the garlic of course). I definitely recommend doubling/tripling this recipe!! So good and sooo easy!

Sweet Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Wow! I am SO happy I found this recipe. Absolutely amazing. After reading other reviews I also used 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar and also added about 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. My husband and I can't stay away from them! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I started cooking this earlier to have for dinner tonight and can't keep myself away from "testing" it. So good! Can't wait for dinner! I also added about a tbsp. of crushed red pepper flakes and ended up using dried onion flakes instead of the onion since I forgot to buy one at the store.

California Roll Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Oh wow! I love California rolls and crave them often. This recipe is so easy and way cheaper than running out 3 times a week to get them and tastes exactly (if not better) than the real thing. I did add a little crushed up Nori (seaweed) and to be honest I never got around to making the dressing at all, just used a little soy sauce as a dressing. Yum! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
This is the best stuff ever! I'm not even a big applesauce fan to begin with, but gave this a shot after a visit to an apple orchard. Wow! I don't change anything in the recipe, although once I did try it with Splenda and it still came out perfect. Thanks!
