Spicy Slow Cooker Kielbasa Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
This is my recipe, and I always use Better than Bullion in all my soup recipes; in this one I used beef flavor. The first time I made this I used 3 chipotle peppers and it was pretty spicy! We love spicy food in our house., so that was OK, and I give it 5 stars for the spicy version. Today I made recipe as listed and it is only mildly spicy, so adjust it according to what you like.

Raymond Beurre Blanc Recipe : Alton Brown : Food Network

This sauce is delicious and very rich! It was a bit too lemony for us, so we will reduce the lemon next time. Goes great with baked chilean sea bass!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
One of our favorites! SO easy to prepare, just open cans and dump. Some changes I make: I do not use the beer or the tomato sauce, instead make up chicken broth with Better Than Bullion and water to replace these. Also, I use Chipotle Taco seasoning. This gives it an incredible flavor, but is sometimes hard to find. I also find that the chicken breasts can go in frozen and cook thoroughly. Throw on the cheese and chips, and it is a hearty meal!

Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
This was really good. I put fresh garlic in with the tomatoes, a little sugar and italian herbs in also. I like spice with mine though so i put in fresh not dried crush red pepper. Victorias is a good brand i found. I even put it over whole weat pasta and it was still delicious

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Another 5 star from allrecipes! We made these with grouper instead of cod. Recipe is worth it just for the beer batter and the wonderful white sauce! I used greek yogurt, which tastes just like sour cream. I always feel healthy when I eat that. I also use greek yogurt as a potato chip dip, but I digress.... We accompanied it with homemade sangria and latin music, hubby says it should be more than 5 stars.

Meringue Kisses I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
I made these last night and have been nibbling on them all day. They are wonderful. I made them with mini chocolate chips and also a little almond extract added in with the vanilla. I like the initially crunchy texture that turns into a chewy surprise. I am always looking for cookies I can eat and since I am gluten sensitive I usually don't find good ones. This one is a keeper!

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
These are classic! We used to call them Fudge No-bake cookies in our house. I originally got the same recipe when I was in home ec class in jr. high in 60's. My brother used to love these as a kid. Now my grandkids love them!

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
Whenever I bring this to a barbeque or party, I always get rave reviews and am asked for the recipe. Guys especially love this cake. This last time I made it with low fat sweetened condensed milk and I did not notice a difference. I usually do not pour all of the mixture on top because it seems like the cake gets soaked with the first 3/4 of the mixture. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!
