Rolled Fondant

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Loved it! Taste great. The only thing is it HAD to be a 100+ degree day here so I had a heck of a time with it. I added a ton of extra sugar and it was still sticky (thanks to the humidity). Luckily, I have a fondant mat so what I ended up having to do is put a *very* small amount of Crisco onto the mat. I then roll the fondant to size needed, and I flipped the whole mat with the fondant on it onto the cake and gently peeled the fondant off. I submitted a picture of the cake. It was beautiful! I will definitely be using this again.

World's Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
When I made this recipe I thought that there was too much dressing, but as I added it to the potatoes it turned out to be just perfect! This is now my favorite potato salad recipe! The name says it all!

Braided Easter Egg Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2006
I've alread reviewed this recipe, but I wanted to add something about preventing the color from bleeding. I dyed my eggs for hours to get a rich, dark color. Once they were done I rinsed them in water and dried them very well. When I inserted them into the ring I tried to put them in as deep as possible. Hopefully this helps! Original Review: Beautiful bread! I had to add a little more flour when kneading and shortened the baking time! Perfect!! I made one yesterday for Easter, but my family ate it up so I had to bake another today and it came out even better. Put on sprinkles for added color.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

I didn't have bouillon so I substituted it for beef! Of course on the sauce I added more wine. It was perfect! By far one of the best recipes on this website!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
After making this pie quite a few times and using different variations I've found the right balance. I only use 3-4 yolks (I don't like the eggy taste that some key lime pies can leave) and 1 and 1/2 cans of sweetened condensed milk. I kept the lime juice at 1/2 cup! Perfect. Great recipe!

This recipe is AWESOME! I used regular onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup) because I didn't have green onions. YUM! I make this almost weekly! Thanks!

Great recipe! I pan-fried them in butter rather than broiling them. I am pleased to have found a recipe that doesn't use eggs! Thank you!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
I have tried many coffee cake recipies and this is by far the best...I did make a few minor changes. I baked the cake in a deep spring form pan and increased the cooking time to about an hour. I also doubled the crumb topping and and add fresh blueberries to the batter...PERFECT!

Sauteed Bananas

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
This was SO GOOD!!!! I didn't have heavy cream so I used light cream for the chocolate mixure and used semi-sweet chocolate chips. I then topped it off with canned whipped cream. The recipe was a total hit with my husband, I will be making it often! THANKS FOR SHARING IT!
