Holiday Punch I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I made this for a New Year's Eve party. It was a hit. Very easy to make and very flavorful. It would be easy to make an alcoholic version if that would please the crowd, too.

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
This is so easy and tasty. I have made this several times. I like to throw in whatever extra veggies I have around the house for an extra layer of flavor. I've added celery and carrots and both tasted great with the soup.

Simple Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I made this last night for my family. It was a big hit. I added broccoli to the spinach/sauce portion and threw in mushrooms in between the layers. It was very good. Next time I'm going to switch out the water for red wine. I would have tried that last night, but I didn't have any on me at the time. We will be making this again!

Graham Cracker Crust I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I love this. I never realized how easy (or cheap!) it was to make a graham cracker crust. I'll never buy the store bought again. I like to add a full tablespoon of cinnamon to the crust for extra flavor. It could also use a little more butter, but I usually don't add it because of the amount of butter used inside the crust!

French Silk Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I have made this pie so many times that I don't have to check the recipe anymore. It is the family favorite. I have perfected it in a few ways for our family. Firstly, I use a homemade graham cracker crust instead of the baked pie crust (store bought works, too, but homemade is better - I use graham cracker crust I from this website). Secondly, I use homemade whipped cream. It's so easy and so much better. Just beat heavy whipping cream until it gets stiff and add a teaspoon of vanilla and a couple tablespoons of confectioner's sugar (depending on how sweet you want it). This pie doesn't last more than 24 hours in my house every time I make it.

Not difficult to make and very tasty! Made these for my husband's office party. Several people asked him for the recipe!

Gingerbread Boy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
Great recipe! Easy to make and very tasty. I wanted to make them, but didn't have any molasses, so I used brown sugar instead. It was a milder taste, but still very good.

French Silk Chocolate Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
I read the reviews before attempting this and knew it involved a LOT of beating. I followed all of the suggestions (beat a lot and use extra cocoa powder) except that I didn't have baker's sugar, so I used regular cane sugar. The taste is to die for. It's so rich. I had no problem with it setting, but it is grainy! I'm a little upset that it isn't smoother, but I still think it'll be a hit. Next time I attempt this, I might pre-plan and get some baker's sugar. I'm sure that makes a difference considering how much I beat it.

Pumpkin Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
So easy and so good. I made this and increased the spice to 2 tablespoons. I also fit it into two 8 inch graham cracker crusts instead of a 9 in pie crust. It was a huge hit.

Loved it. Easy to make. Sweet, but not overly sweet. My 3 year old actually ate his entire serving. That's a rarity!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
I have made these many times. I too also increase the brown sugar to 1 1/2 cups and decrease the white sugar to 1/2 cup. I have also subbed half the margarine for one mashed banana. It was in a time of need that I discovered the trick (I was out of butter!), but it actually tastes pretty awesome.
