Used ingredients as directed. Minimal prep time involved which I appreciate being a man cook. Used a ham hock I had and probably about another cup of meat. Used 2 cups of soup stock as well as 5 cups of water. After 8 hours I woke up this morning to a very nice, hearty, and tasty soup. I left it in the crockpot all day and I guess the beans must have expanded somewhat more. Soup had the consistency of mud by the time I got home from work. Not a problem 2 more cups of chicken stock couldn;t fix. I enjoyed it very much for my dinner this evening as well as my 10 year old daughter. She wants it in her lunch tommorrow. I will definetly make this again. Thanks for posting this very good recipe!
