Smothered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
This recipe is soooo good. I have the hardest time making gravy... and this gravy is sooo tasy and so easy to make. I didn't even let my boyfriend have the left overs. Thanks for sharing!

Country Fried Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
When I made this recipe, I used yellow squash instead and i was a big hit. My boyfriend's mother was so impressed that she upgraded her fried squash recipe to include eggs, milk, and flour. It makes the squash crunchy outside and soft inside. My mom, roommate, dad, little brother, everyone I know loves this recipe. We've even made it with green tomatoes and zucchini. Being from the south, we love things fried, and this recipe is definately a keeper.

Easy Homestyle Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
This is an awesome quick and easy recipe. I made this with mashed potatoes and fried pork chops and my boy friend gobbled it up. Next time I might get frozen beans so it tastes less "canny," even though it tastes great the way it is. PS- it much better the next as leftovers!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
I feared the original recipe would be a little bland, so I followed the modifications recommended. I also couldn't find a chicken small enough so I used large chicken breasts. I seasoned the breasts in salt, paprika, and Mrs. Dash. I placed potatoes, carrots, and onions under the chicken with 1/2 a cup water and cooked it on low for 5hrs. It turned out OK but nothing to write home about. It wasn't as moist as I expected... it was a little on the dry side and the potatoes weren't as flavorful. If I make this again, I would use more water with a bullion cube and perhaps dark meat b/c it is more tender than white meat. I would cook it for an hour on high and then low for the time remaining. I hope this helps.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2003
Yummy! This recipe is sooo good. I made it two days in a row!! However both of my batches came out a little mushy, which I think is due to over cooking. Also, I scooped the crisp into little individual no-bake graham shells for small apple pies. I will definately make this again!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
This was super good! I made this and To Die For Fettucini for my boyfriend on V-day and he ate everything! At first I was afraid that he wouldn't like it b/c he's a big red meat eater, but he was upset when I only made two breasts! The chicken was really juicy and I didn't have to cook as long as instructed. I also let it marinate in the butter and garlic all day. I used Italian bread crumbs like recommended. It was fantastic! I will definately make this again!!!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
This Fettuccine is WONDERFUL! I made it and Garlic Chicken on VDay for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! For once he had enough to eat. Make sure you cook the sauce long enough to let the cheese melt. The Alfredo is rich and filling, and you'll eat till you are stuffed! The whole meal took like 45mins from start to finish and was wonderful. I would definately make this again. Thank you so much for the recipe. This dish is to die for!
