Im 16 and my passion is baking. I recently learned that my grandfather (who I never met) was a baker making me inspired to bake.

My favorite things to cook

Anything with flour. Usually I like making sugar cookies and biscuits but if I want something a bit harder to bake I usual go for pretzels or cinnamon buns.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

These gooey cinnamon buns are a hit. My father (who worked in a bakery for many years) said they were delicious and I could easily sell them. Only complaint here is that beating the egg/yeast/flour mixture will end up with pieces flying everywhere. I eventually used my hands to get the rest of the flour incorporated. Also it's quite difficult to make the dough into a perfect, even rectangle.

Tea Biscuits

The first time I made these they were delightful except they became very chewy overnight so the next time I made them I stored them in a Tupperware container in the freezer and microwaved them for 5 seconds to make them warm. I also usually put extra butter in to make it soft and crisp.
