Pesto Sauce

Delicious and very easy. Walnuts are so good for you and full of Omega 3's. I think I will make another batch an freeze it in ice cube trays and then transfer into zip lock bags so I always have some on hand to use in a variety of dishes!

These are very tasty. I replaced the all purpose flour with whole wheat flour and used Polmars all fruit seedless blackberry preserves. I will make these again!

Spicy Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
The reason I gave this recipe 4 out of 5 stars is that the instructions did not tell the reader about the overnight or quick method soaking of the black beans prior to cooking. Otherwise, with that said it was wonderful. I made a few changes using chipotle boullion cubes in lieu of chicken, 8 cups of water instead of 10, and replacing table salt with kosher and only using 1 tsp. I also diced the carrots instead of shredding and added fresh homegrown cayenne pepper. This recipe does make a lot so I froze the leftovers for another evening when I do not have time to cook. One final thought, I recently spoke with a nutritionist who told me that the darker the bean the higher anti oxidants.....so eat lots of black beans :0)

Bangaladumpa (Potato) Upma Koora

I followed this recipe to the letter and I found it excellent! The potatoes are bursting with flavor. This is like a spicy potato salad without the mayonnaise. I had no problems finding the ingredients at the local Indian food grocer

Very nice recipe I followed the directions exactly except I marinated the chicken and the vegetable individually, and threaded the chicken and vegetable on separate water soaked bamboo skewers for even cooking time.

Beef Tongue Tacos aka. Taco's de Lengua

Very easy to prepare. I did my" Green Goddess Pico de Gallo" recipe instead of the peppers & tomatoes. I also softened the corn tortillas in hot vegetable oil. I finished the tacos with a squeeze of lime. Very nice!

this could be much better if you used day old rice. with the freshly cooked rice it was quite mushy. great flavors though. the sauce was good on chicken.
