I consider myself a true "Southern Traditionalist". Most of my cooking experience grew from hosting NASCAR parties every weekend and changing the menus from week to week. Usually I cooked whatever the gang suggested for the next week. My first cooking competition came about because a friend said I cooked the best wings he had ever eaten. He entered us in a contest without my knowledge. I just cooked my wings like cooking for "the gang". We finished Second. That was four years ago and now I cook in wing, rib and whole hog competitions. Absolutely love it and look forward to the next "cook off"
My favorite things to cook
Wings, whole hog, ribs, fried chicken, fresh country vegetables, burgers and seafood. Maybe it would be easier to say my favorite thing to cook is what ever draws a crowd.
