Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
I just made this for the first time, it is so good! I would recemend either cuting the ground beef down to 1 lb or double the sauce recipe, i made it with 2 lbs ground beef and 1 found i needed 3 eggs instead of 2,and i used Pastene Italian bread crumbs, the meatballs were to die for, don't omit anything, it is good as it is written.

West Coast Trail Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
I cannot stop talking about this awesome cookie recipe, I think this should be in the top 10 cookie recipes on this site. It is a very healthy cookie and you can make it healthier by cutting out the white sugar and just add 1 cup of brown as it is still lots sweet enough. Since I have made this recipe a couple of times now, I too the suggestion of the submitter and added 1/2 cup of Whole wheat flour in place of the entire 1 1/2 cups of white flour. I cannot say enough how awesome this cookie is and now all my family and friends are enjoying it too. Thanks Westcoastmom for a truly great cookie recipe.

QUICK AND EASY LEMON LOAF

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2013
I just finished baking 2 of these yummy loaves, the only thing I did different was use butter and added the fine grated lemon peel of each lemon as I love it very lemony, I cut back a bit on the sugar for the glaze on the top as I like it a bit more tangier and because of my oven I had to bake mine 10-15 minutes longer. So all being said, I would highly recommend this recipe, it is easy to make and very, very tasty. Thank you manella our Italian friend for sharing such a easy but delicious recipe!

Orange Cornish Hen for Two

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
Hi, I tried this recipe the other night for supper, and I am always looking for new ways to "dress up" chicken, and this was highly recommended and I am so glad that I tried it, here is what I liked about it: it was simple but a bit elegant and the chicken was very moist and really tasty, it was a bit different then the normal ways you do up chicken and that is what i loved about it! I think it is worth everyone trying it and i think you will be pleasantly Surprised with the results!! Thank you misty for posting this great recipe!!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
I made this for the first time this afternoon, the only changes i made was cutting back on the sugar a bit, i put 2 cups in it, i thought it would super sweet but i found it just perfect i think if you cut back the sugar by too much it wouldn't be as good. I put in 4-5 cups of zucchini and it was perfect, i also put in 2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp ground cloves, it took an hour to bake 2 loaves in my oven, all in all it was pretty good.

10 Pound Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
I made this cheesecake for the first time over the Easter weekend, i had 9 of the family here to try this, they all said the cheesecake was the crowning glory! They raved about it and still are!! I followed it exactly except for the crust, i never add sugar to graham crumbs they don't need it as they are sweet enough on their own. Because i didn't have a pan big enough for it i made 2 separate pans. On 1 pan i spread my own homemade blueberry topping, and the second i spread it with the supreme strawberry topping from this site, they were the best cheesecakes ever, and i know no baked cheesecake could be any better! It set perfectly everyone was amazed how nicely it cut for being a no bake cheesecake!! I would like to give some feedback to neighbour who was wondering why her cheese cake didn't set, ican't say for sure why it didn't but do not cut back to 1 can of condensed milk as it will be too sour, i used the full 2 cans and it set perfectly, i would recemmend letting it set longer, i made mine the night before and i served it for supper the following night, so try making it the night before you want to serve it, i hope this helps keep trying because if you stick to the recipe it should set perfectly for you!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2015
I made this recipe tonight due to my daughter highly recommending it. I was very very impressed with it, we loved it so much, it has loads of flavor and the ingredients were spot on with the exception of cutting the sugar back from 1/2 cup to 1/4 and believe me you would never know the difference. I had skinless with bone in chicken breasts in the freezer so i cut them in two. follow the directions closely and you will get raves from your family and friends.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
I made this cake a couple of days ago, i invited our friends two sons over for supper the other night, and i served this for dessert it was very good and if you love chocolate then this is your cake! i followed it almost exactly except i cut back on the oil just a bit, if you want a nice moist cake i wouldn't cut the oil back by a huge amount, but certiantly somewhat for sure. I didn't have a bundt pan so i used a tube pan and it turned out great. I am not a huge chocolate lover but for all those of you who are try this recipe and don't change it at all except for cutting back on the oil some, you will love it, we all did!!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
I made this dressing for the first time this morning before I went to work. I do not like mayonnaise whatsoever so I was sceptical about liking it, I put buttermilk in mine and slightly increased the garlic whisked it good and put it in the fridge, when I got home at lunch i put some on my salad, I can't say enough how awesome it was and I could not taste the mayo in it one bit. I totally love this dressing and its the only one I will make. I would reccomend letting it sit a few hours for the full flavor to take over. Everyone who loves ranch dressing should try this one, you won't be disappointed!!

Righteous Raspberry Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
I just made my first batch of these tonight, even though the submitter of this recipe said to wait until they cool before cutting, sorry but my hubby and i could not wait, it was heavenly biting into these wonderful brownies!! since raspberry season just wrapped up here in Nova Scotia i didn't have fresh raspberries so i threw in frozen and i tell you there was no difference, i just took them out of the freezer and into the bowl and they were not juicy at all, in fact i think frozen ones are better as they don't break apart while you stir them in, everything else i followed to the letter, so all you chocolate lovers go ahead and try this with the raspberries you will not be disappointed!!!
