General Tsao's Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
O.M.G. This was SO good! Not quite as good as our local Chinese restaurant but VERY close! I followed the recipe pretty closely, only did a few things differently. I did not fry the chicken twice, only once (not sure I get that whole part)I also peppered the chicken after frying (no salt because of all the sodium in soy sauce(: ) Along with the orange zest, I squeezed half of the orange for its juice and threw in a splash of worcestershire to cut the soy sauce flavor a little bit. I also did not have any dried chilies so I used dried chili flakes...I just sprinkled it in til it looked good (: I like spicy though, so it was quite a bit. I was literally eating the chicken out of the pan while waiting for the rice to cook! It was VERY good! Definitely going to save this one!!! YUM!

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
We have a VERY similar recipe in our family... The only difference is we use the knorr's or lipton Vegetable soup mix instead of the leek one, no mayo just the 16 oz container of sour cream, and the whole container of frozen spinach. It comes out AMAZING! I go through fazes where this is the only thing I eat because it is just sooooo good!

Zucchini Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
This was SO good! Another recipe I tried last summer when there was too much squash to know what to do with! The only thing I did different was the noodles...I used whole wheat penne instead of egg noodles because that's what I had :) Very rich and creamy...YUMMY!!

Summer Squash Puffs

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
These were awesome! I made these last summer when the squash was pouring in from the garden! I added 1 tsp garlic powder to the mix, and salt and pepper when they came out of the fryer...YUM! I think next time I'll add some cayenne pepper to make it a little spicy.

Deviled Chex® Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
Really good! A little spicy, a little sweet, perfect balance! I did change some things though...I did not use coriander, but I added 1 tsp each garlic and onion powder, and I used butter instead of oil (didn't have any) I also baked mine instead of using the microwave. I spread the mixture out onto 2 cookie sheets and baked at 350 for about 15 minutes, stirring it a couple times so it wouldn't burn. Definitely recommend!
