Oven Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
This is a great recipe because it is versatile I added a few spices (we added garlic, crushed rosemary) and turned out great! My sister made it per the recipe and her family loved them. The sugar is must for crunch and we used 1 Tbs of oil.

This recipe is the REAL deal, the best peanut butter pie I have ever made! I didn't change a thing in the recipe, it was perfect.

Beer Margaritas

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
Sorry, this just tasted awful, the beer (I used a light pilsner) was not a good mix for us, we thru out the pitcher and stuck with our Limeade/Tequila/Triple Sec recipe. You just can't make a good margarita without Triple Sec, and I think the Triple Sec cuts out a lot of the "green color"

Herb Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
If you like red Lobsters Cheddar Bay biscuits, try these modifications.... I nixed the canola oil instead I used 1/2 butter (cold and cut in), 1/2 olive oil, and added one clove of garlic, I also added 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese. dab a little butter and parsley on top when they come out of the oven.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
GREAT RECIPE! Just in case you don't have the quick cooking oats, you can use the "old fashioned" oats, just use 2 1/2 Cups, the cookie will be heartier, but just as delicious! Also boil the choc mixture 2 full minutes, and they will set EVERY time!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: May 26, 2006
This tasted wonderful. I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't need 4 loaves, I had to adjust the recipe for one loaf, and it also didn't need to cook as long in my oven. I will use this recipe from now on for Banana Bread

Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
REALLY GOOD SAUCE! I did use cider instead of juice because it's all I had!I didn't change anything else and this sauce was great, everyone wanted the "secret" recipe sauce.

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
AWESOME! The only thing I did was add some garlic chips (sliced garlic cloves) to the bacon as it was cooking, the homemade croutons make all the difference!

I thought this was just okay, but the hubby and kids didn't like it, will not make this one again.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
I was disappointed in the taste of this icing, it tastes "store-bought", the texture was great though, so I gave it 3 stars. I will go back to using only butter.

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
I would give this 5 stars if it didn't say "crockpot", if you are gonna make this in 30 minutes (one hour is better), use a dutch oven or big skillet, cover, put it on low (not simmer) and you will be in kielbasa heaven, in an hour! I serve this with buttered noodles or rice. If you are using a slow cooker, do it in the morning, put it on low, it will be perfect in 5-6 hrs!

I loved this recipe and didn't change a thing. Next time I may top with a meringue, but whipped cream works too!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
This is a good recipe especially if you aren't keen on using Royal Icing which contains uncooked egg whites, not an option for me since I have a toddler. You will have to change the amount of milk, I added a tsp at a time until it looked right, I also doubled the amount of corn syrup called for.

Haitian French Toast

I would give this 10 stars if I could. It is the best French Toast I have ever tasted. We used Smuckers Raspberry Syrup on the side to dip. It was HEAVENLY!

Coffee Roasted Beef Chuck

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
This was a pretty good recipe, I added beef broth instead of the boullion cubes others had suggested, and I used some rosemary, thyme and a little oregano too (1 tsp ea) you don't have to like coffee to appreciate this recipe, there is no "coffee" flavor, I just think it makes the juices and gravy a little richer.

McCormick's Delicious Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
I liked these, but I had to add 2 tbsp of Sweet Relish to them, the sweet, vinegary taste of the relish made these better, otherwise they were a little on the bland side.

Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
My husband calls this soup...liquid pizza! One of the few recipes for soup that my entire family loves! It is better if you have your own recipe for meatballs. Just drop them into the water/tomato mixture it will be perfect. I also used more garlic and italian seasonings than called for.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
DELICIOUS! This is simple perfection! I have no idea why people add soda to this recipe, without flour to keep the soda in "check" the cookie will run all over the sheet, adding salt is silly because your PB has tons of sodium in it. I did add a tsp of vanilla though...YUMMY, the whole family loved them.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
This is a pretty good recipe, but please don't try crisco or margarine in this recipe, it may turn out okay but butter will make it taste rich...butter is essential in baking! I think it calls for too much oats so I used 2 1/4 cups, and will cut it to 2 C next time for a chewier cookie.
