V-Eight Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
Made this recently for a sick family member - put in bags and in the freezer so they can heat and eat. Was very good. I did make a few changes - only 1 bag of soup veggies, added a can of tomatoes and added a can of corn. Good and hearty.

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup

I make this recipe often for our family and for "sick" friends. I always add more chicken and decrease the egg yolks by about half. YUM!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
Really good! I made this with turkey sausage, red and yellow peppers, and a little extra onion. Bagged and put in freezer for reuse - is great with prepared tomato sauce over pasta or just on a sub roll.

Really good! This is better than my old recipe - the addition of the flour and sugar makes a difference!

Zippy Praline Bacon

DELICIOUS. I got this recipe from a friend before and it is awesome. The combination of the sugar and chili powder is awesome. Beware taking the bacon out of the oven - lots of grease to drip!

My family loved this - it is, by far, the best Chicken Noodle soup I have ever tasted.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

This is a great base recipe - I make it with italian style chicken sausage (lower fat) and spinach instead of zucchini. This has become a great weeknight favorite!

Amaretto Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This cake was wonderful - I am told it is the best cake I have made (and I have made many good ones!). I used cheesecake flavored pudding mix and I did change the glaze to be more like a rum cake sauce I make: 1/2 stick unsalted butter, 1/3 to 1/2 c of amaretto, and 1 cup granulated sugar...put all in a pot and bring to a boil, then pour over hot cake while still in pan. DELICIOUS!

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Fantastic! The only dessert at our dessert buffet to be completely gone. My addition was decorating with rum flavored whipped cream (1C whipping cream + 3 Tbsp powdered sugar, whipped - then add 2 Tbsp rum and 1 tsp cinnamon). Will do this again next year.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Wonderful! This is the best pork I have ever cooked. My only change - I did marinate the pork overnight using the ingredients in the glaze: 2Tbsp Vinegar, 2Tbsp soy sauce, 4 Tbsp Mustard, but only 2Tbsp maple. It turned out great!
