Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
This was the first apple pie I have ever made. My parents who are in their 70's said that it was the best apple pie they have ever eaten. I don't really eat apple pie but I figured by over 4, 000. ratings that this one would be a good one to make for others that eat apple pie. Well, I had to try my first apple pie and I will say it will not be my last. I used Gala apples but I will try green apples on my 2nd pie just to see the difference. I read that Gala are tasteless when baked but I don't agree so far on that.

Pecan Pie Bars I
I made this recipe according to the recipe but they stuck so bad that I was unable to make nice squares. I want to try again, but I will try either a non-stick pan or maybe parchment paper. They were extremely good just not presentable.

Scotcharoos
This has been our family favorite for many years and continues on with several generations. We microwave our morsels in a medium size bowl, stirring every 30 or 45 sec as they will burn if not attended to. You cannot go by looks, you must stir them until smooth. Also, our recipe call for the peanut butter to be added after sugar and corn syrup come to a boil. I don't know if there's a difference but it's what we have done for 40yrs plus. This recipe is a hit with children as well as adults! Enjoy!
