Curly me!
About this Cook
With cooking experience that doesn't go past my job at a pizza as a teen, and no parents to offer guidance, I am a kitchen-clueless young woman who is determined to be a good cook. Having a picky man at home means I have to get creative when cooking for him, and it is my goal for him to have a lady whom he can brag to his friends about her food. I'm pretty open-minded and will try to eat and/or cook almost anything.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies and various sweets, meat-centered meals (since I cook for an avid meat-eater!) and veggies for me!
My favorite family cooking traditions
No traditions... that why I don't know what I'm doing!
My cooking triumphs
The slow-cooker! I know that means nothing to most, but when I put out my roasts, no one needs to use their knives. I love that! I also make a pretty mean cookie.
My cooking tragedies
Pretty much everything else.

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is cookie perfection, in my opinion. The recipe is VERY beginner friendly (which is important for me and my limited skills!)The perfect balance of fluffy and chewy, and that sweet vanilla flavor that so many are apprehensive about? That's what I Love so much about these. They smell like a fudge shop on Mackinac Island on a cool Autumn afternoon. I read in another review to omit baking powder to make them less cakey-textured, so I did that. And I had to omit all nuts because I have a very picky fiance, but there will be time to add nuts as I will be making these for the rest of my life.

Chocolate Chip Cookies III
Super easy, cookies tasted great. I didn't have any problem at all with them being runny... the recipe even worked great with my zero-calorie sweeteners!
