Salmon with Dill

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
This is very tasty . Only thing I changed , was cooking time , as I had 4 oz. fillets. Cooked 15 mins. and sprinkled a little lemon juice on top after they came out of the oven . Will make again. Thank you .

Homemade Dishwasher Soap

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
Made this last week , and have used it three times . Works just as well , if not better than commercial soap. Can't wait to try white vinegar in the rinse , when the jet dry runs out . Thanks , Molly .

Caramel Corn IV

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Turned oven temp down to 275 , as mine runs hot , and used one bag of micro corn . Skipped mixing in the bowl , and poured the popped corn into a turkey roaster. ( catch the " duds " , of course. ) Threw some dry , roasted , salted peanuts into the sauce , before coating the corn. Baked , and stirred , as directed . Cooled on waxed paper . Very easy , and good.

This was okay . The sauce was kinda sticky , and didn't have much lemon flavor . Don't think we will make again .

Beef Tips

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I made this as directed . The meat was tender after 1 1/4 hrs of cooking . However , when adding the packet of gravy and water , I cooked it for 10 mins . more , and it did not thicken to my liking . Had to add a slurry of cornstarch and water , and cook 10 more mins. The sauce was too salty , and had too much pepper . If I were to make again , it would be with a lot of tweaking . Sorry .

German Beef Rouladen

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
I have made this twice . The first time as directed , and found the meat rolls to be chewy , and the sauce a little bland . The second time after browning the meat rolls , I added a large sliced onion with the broth and water . Covered and simmered for 1 1/2 hrs. Did not strain , and after thickening the sauce , stirred in the sour cream , and simmered the meat rolls for about 10 more mins. Very tender and yummy . Thank you for sharing .

Ham Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
This was fast , and easy . Made twice . First time as written . Kinda bland. Second time , I used a lot more onion , two cloves minced garlic, and chopped , red pepper . Milk , instead of water , and two pinches of red pepper flakes. Took the left overs to work , and it re-heated very well. The girls said looked and smelled really good . Will make again . Thanks for sharing.

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
We have never had Bierocks , but like all the ingredients , so gave it a try. Method was simple . Taste was way under seasoned for us . We thought the filling needed some kind of moisture . Had no problems with the crust being doughy . Will try again with some adjustments. Thanks for sharing .

Broccoli Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
Halved the recipe , and made as written. Not seasoned enough , and was more like a sauce than a casserole. May try again, with a lot of seasonings, and added noodles, rice, or on top of some kind of potato.

Sea Salt Caramel Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
Made this the other day , using the recipe for Best Brownies ( found on this site ) , instead of a boxed mix . Sprinkled less salt on top than called for . Easy to do , and tasted good . I would make this again .

Sour Cream Mushroom Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
Made this as directed . Was very greasy , due to the amount of butter , and the cheese . The taste of the mushrooms , and spices were just o.k. , and think it would have been better if fresh were used , instead of dried . This was very mediocre for us , and would not make as directed again . Maybe with less butter , and fresh herbs and spices . Sorry for the bad review . Thanks for sharing .

The Best Baby Back Ribs You'll EVER Eat!

We made these Easter Sunday . Did them in the oven , from start to finish . After cooking for five hrs . , we unwrapped them , drained the grease , and back into the oven (un-covered ) , with the sauce . Raised the temp. to 375 , and cooked for another 45 mins. , basting with more sauce every 10 - 15 mins. Sooo good ! Thank you , Christina !

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
Made this tonight , and, it was just o.k. Followed the recipe . Cooking methods , and times were fine . Not much flavor . I used some left over ham that I roasted on Sun . Cubed , to make it a little heartier , but the sauce needs something more . Will look for another rose sauce recipe . Sorry .

Hearts of Palm Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
Made for Christmas Eve cocktails . It was well received , and SO's 90 yr. old mom asked for the recipe ! I tasted a bit too much of the mayo , so next time I will try 1/2 c. mayo , and 1/2 c. sour cream . I will also try some minced garlic stirred in . Nice change from artichoke dip . Thank you for sharing .

Allie's Mushroom Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
This was a nice change from tomato sauced pizza . I used a regular pre- made crust , and found it to be a bit too thick . Next time I will try a thinner crust . I used half the oil mixture on the crust , and when it came out , brushed more on top . Sprinkled with a little kosher salt . Very good . Thank you for sharing .
