Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I doubled this recipe and made it in a deep 9x13 pan. I used more cinnamon and added a dash of vanilla to the filling as well. It disappered so fast I only got a teeny weeny little taste. I'm going to use different apples the next time though. I did not care for the tartness of the Granny Smith apples. I'm also going to try this with peaches instead of apples, and I'll bet cherries would be a treat too.

There wasn't enough left over to even make sandwiches the next day, LOL.

Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
I made two of these pies for Thanksgiving and there was none left! Not a crumb left. The brother and the son-in-law were fighting over the last slice. Hahaha. They had to share!

Praline Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2002
I found this recipe four years ago and I have made it for every family gathering since. Everyone insists on it. I've tried several variations, LOL, and it doesn't seem to matter. It still disappears to the last drop. I've used almonds, and once walnuts. I've used canned pumpkin pie mix in a pinch. It turns out very good no matter what variations I use and everyone raves about it. I've never had a problem with the topping at all. It always turns out just right. I have however cut down on the liquids added to the potato mix. I make 20-30 servings at a time for the family gatherings. A huge roaster full disappears like magic.
