Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
While the flavor wasn't overtly sweet, after eating a muffin, I felt the effects of all the white sugar that was used. I will try an alternative sweetener to avoid canceling out the healthy ingredients.

Calico Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Due to popular demand, I make these beans for both Easter (they go great with ham, deviled eggs, and potato salad) and my family reunion every year. The only thing I do differently is cut the brown sugar by about half. Great recipe!

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
I made these potatoes using my new KitchenAid mixer. They were wonderful, and my picky dinner guests agreed!

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
These treats have been a HUGE hit with every dog I know. The dough can be a little challenging to work with, but it's worth it. Just add a little extra extra pumpkin or peanut butter if it becomes to dry. The doggies will not object!

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I too am giving this recipe four stars, but only because I changed it slightly. I use *two* cans of Campbell's Cream of Chicken WITH HERBS soup. With that and some ground black pepper, I don't need to add any other spices. This recipe is really delicious; a quick and easy comfort food that my hubby loves. I'm sure improvising with vegetables is fine as well.

Roasted Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
I made potato salad or the first time using this recipe. It was great! Per other suggestions, I coated the potatoes with salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard before roasting. I also cut the mayo with some plain, 2% Fage yogurt. I don't feel those changes are major ones, so I'm giving this recipe 5 stars. Thanks!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
I followed the recipe using all butter, as I had no shortening on hand. While I'm glad it worked well for others, my cookies were cake-like and bland. I won't try this recipe again, even to experiment with shortening -- it was that disappointing.
