Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
This was delicious. I floured & browned the meat until golden brown first. The only thing different I did was use Lipton Savory Herb & garlic soup with 2 cups beef broth. I didn't have mushroom soup, but it still came out fine. I will be making this again.

Broiled Scallops

Reviewed: May 9, 2007
This was very good. I also used garlic powder instead of the salt. The garlic butter sauce I put over noodles and they were very flavorful. I really enjoyed the scallops, but my husband thought they were just okay. I would make this again...

Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
This recipe is very similar to my recipe that I misplaced. I think the only difference was I didn't use as much water. I had to improvise once I added the water. I used little less milk and added 1/2 cup of half & half. It also needed a bit of thickness, so I used corn starch and I added about 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. My husband bragged about it and said wow this is good. He even took a second helping

Mother's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2005
Just made this recipe and it is so moist. I took some other reveiwers advice and added vanilla, cinnamon and Nutmeg and used 3 bananas. I also added about 1/4 C of milk. I put a brown sugar streusel on top with walnuts and this is fabulous. My husband & I have already devoured half of it. This is by far the best Banana bread I have tasted.

Spinach Appetizers

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
I made these for my family first before I brought them to a function and thought they are okay, but need something to spice it up a little. I will try again with maybe garlic salt, etc. My husband really liked them, which is a good thing. He usually is my worst critic, so I did something right.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2004
This cake was a little too sweet and rich for me. I brought it to a Thanksgiving dinner and most of it was gone by time I left, so I was happy to see that it was enjoyed. I think there was a little too much cream cheese. If I was to make it again, I would use less of it.

Herbed Turkey Breast

The flavors of the lemon combination were very tasty, but the turkey was dry. Maybe I overcooked it. My husband enjoyed it, so that's a plus

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
I give this 5 stars. I like the idea of the foil. I had a hard time getting it out of the crockpot, as it was ready to fall apart. It was delicious. I spiced it up with onions, garlic and other spices. I will make this again. It was so easy to make and delicious too.

Hermits I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2003
These are great tasting. I had to bake it a bit longer than what the recipe called for. I have never made hermits before, but always enjoyed them from a grocery store that went out of business quite a few years ago. So I want to say thank you for a great recipe that is comparable to the ones I use to buy,
