Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
They are quite tasty, but I had trouble with them coming off the press, which was the reason I gave it only 3 stars. (I used the extra 2T of butter too, so I am dumbfounded). My Pampered Chef press has never given me problems before... and I decided to try this recipe because I didn't have granulated sugar, but these took easily 20 minutes just to press on the tray. Even though they tasted good I won't use this recipe for the press again. Maybe as a crust for a bar of some kind, or to slice and bake. I will say I didn't notice an aftertaste, but if you use real almond extract I don't know why you would.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
These are quite good, especially with a glass of milk. I found the easiest way to make these successfully was to make balls of the cookie dough, and then using thumb make an indent (think jam thumbprint). After putting the peanut butter mixture in you just wrap and seal. My boyfriend's mom, a peanut butter junkie, LOVED these.

These are a little on the salty side, but very tasty nonetheless! I made them for an afternoon party and it was very well received.

Really GOOD Frosting!!!

This frosting lives up to it's name. It works really well on cookies, but I had success on brownie cups as well.

Quite tasty, and super easy to make. The brown sugar really keeps them chewy and adds a really nice flavor.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

The taste is not the best ever, but the great thing about these is you can easily replace the sugar with Splenda for a low carb treat.

I did not ice these, I was looking for something a bit less sweet and these fit the bill! They do indeed melt in your mouth and are soooo buttery!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

This is very good, it is so moist and tastes great! I didn't use cloves, it was still quite flavorful. I made half the recipe and used a 9x5 pan, I had to bake it an additional 15-20 minutes.

Overall very good, everyone at work liked it. People were surprised by the flaxseed crunch. It could use a little more banana though!

It's okay, the flavor was nothing special and a little mushy. If you don't have a pasta machine and have to cut it by hand it is not terribly pretty!

Light and soooo tasty! I varied it a little, adding sundried tomatoes and finely diced Muenster cheese instead of the parmesan, and tossed it with some tomato & basil Mrs. Dash. Paired with a green salad and a little wine...VOILA!!!!

Blueberry Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
Not bad! It was a little dry, but that problem was solved quickly with a smear of butter. It did stick to the bottom of the pan, though. I did as instructed and tried to take the bread out of the pan before it cooled, but it nonetheless broke apart. I quickly placed the part stuck on the bottom of the pan back on the loaf and it sliced pretty well after sitting with my "repairs" a few minutes. The taste was decent enough, but a little bland. I think it could use a little more depth of flavor, not necessarily spice, but perhaps a fruit addition? I have seen several recipes combining the berries with lemon, perhaps that would be something to try...
