Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
Delicious! I used only 1/4 of the cream cheese, and added 1/8 tsp of cinnamon.

Gingerbread Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
wow! my first time eating/making gingerbread cookies and they were SOOO good!!! I did add an extra 1/4 c. of sugar, because i was afraid it would be bitter, after reading some of the reviews, and i can't imagine it tasting good w/o that extra sugar. It was still only mildly sweet, but that was great! also i did use and extra cup of flour. Thanks so much!! Out of the 4 cookies i made this christmas this was the best!

Aunt Gail's Oatmeal Lace Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Yes it was good, and definitely "melts in your mouth" but maybe that's because it tastes like butter and sugar... Maybe i'll put a little less sugar next time..

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I would've given this 4.5 stars instead.. I, personally, thought this was delicious! My family enjoyed it too, but no one raved about it except myself.. So because of that I had to give it 4 stars.. Also, other reviewers had suggested to add more stock if you want it mushier since it's not the typical thanksgiving mush... but no one stated how much more. Well, the recipe calls for 3/4 cups. I put in 1.5 cups and it came out nice and moist but it wouldn't hurt to just put in the entire 16oz can (2 cups). I think i'm going to do that next time. I don't care if it didn't get raves, i'm still making this next year! I def. prefer this fresher version of stuffing to stovetop.

Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2007
Delicious! I don't normally like the original cheese fondues made with all swiss cheese.. it's usually too bitter for me, but this one was DELICIOUS! I did add a squeeze of lemon and a dash of garlic powder. The best swiss cheese fondue i've ever had!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
AS GOOD AS if not BETTER than FRANCE. So I've been to Paris last year and then i went this year with my bf and we both love their french onion soup. Now everytime we go out, he orders it but only to be extremely disappointed. Why do they taste so weird here and nothing like the ones in france?? Even at this one expensive french restaurant, it didn't come close. I am being completely honest, and this one tastes just as good as the ones i've had in france.. (my bf actually thinks its better)and wayyyy better than any american version. To get it to taste like real French Onion Soup I made these minor adjustments: I cut the butter amount in 1/2, and i added 2 cubes of beef buillion to the broth. DELICIOUS. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Cranberry Swirl Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
This cake was delicious! I made it for thanksgiving and my family especially loved it with their coffee. I put a little less almond flavoring, as a few reviews commented on the strong almond taste, and added a bit of vanilla. It was delicious. Also, I had no idea what a tube pan was and so I could not find one. It turned out fine in a square cake pan, with just batter, sauce, batter. thanks!
