Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
Very good recipe and you can tweak the veggies how you like them. I like to do a meat, cheese, veggies, cheese, potatoes then heavy cheese on top. Use a good instant potato for a quick fix. Awesome.

Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
Very good recipe, perfect as is. When you cut them, make sure they are at least 1 inch thick and they raise great. Great with a sausage gravy and my kids love me to make these for monkey bread instead of using the store bought stuff. Try with a herbed butter too!

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
The best crepe recipe I have found yet. I add a teaspoon of vanilla. I also love how they cook so fast on a griddle. I put a dollop of cream cheese in the middle of mine, melt some jam and dabble over. PERFECT.

Yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
While I did like this cookie, it wasn't quite what I had hoped it would have been. Wasn't peanut buttery enough (for me)and a little dry.

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
I really liked the ease of this. Followed the instructions perfectly, started timer at boil. Taste was very good. It firms well. You can't taste the flour at all, but I think I may use half if at all next time. Great for gathering, a snack, yummy treats to share.

Sausage Gravy III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
Very good... I added almost 1/2 cup of flour and doubled the butter. Keep in mind, I used a very good butchers sausage too, so I had no grease to begin with. Thickened up fine for me, I seasoned well and it was fabulous!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
Wow, very very good. This is a quick fabulous sauce, just what I was looking for. No cream cheese taste just very rich yummy's. If it seems a little too loose, it does thicken as it stands or if you prefer, just add the milk 1/2 cup at a time until it's thick but not yet too loose to eat right away. My family loves this stuff.

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
The puffed up for me a bit, but I wouldn't say they were extremely fluffy. I made them with margarine. I sat the dough in the fridge for a few minutes while I floured the surface, made it easier to roll and cut out. Seems to be a good recipe all in all, but will still look for that KFC type biscuit I crave. I will make again for ease. Works well with a quick monkey bread recipe I have.

Dora's Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2003
Recipie was easy to follow and cookies were easy to roll without being chilled. I used 3 teaspoons of vanilla, no almond extract. Baked at 350 for 9 minutes. Cookies came out looking perfect, still lacked a lot of flavor, needed to be iced, but because we rolled them semi-thick they did look perfect as cut-outs. With icing these are very good. I would suggest using 4 tablespoons of vanilla or at least 3 with maybe a little zest or orange or lemon.

WOW! Super Easy!!!! Baked at 350 for 10 minutes because I always undercook a little for soft cookies. These were flavorful and yummy! Puff up nice and can you beleive I didn't have any baking powder? Two thumbs up on this one, will make again and again and again. Best one on Allrecipes.com, You can't be disappointed.

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
This is a great recipe. I added a bit more brown sugar to mine though. For those not wanting glazed carrots, why look for them, this is a perfect recipe and a glazed sauce is supposed to be sweet and a little sticky. The orange juice added the most delightful taste to the carrots and even my picky kids ate them up! Bravo!!!
