Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
This was to die for!!! I made this last night and followed the reviewer who increased everything by half. I used 5 Granny Smith apples and also used half white sugar and half brown. The entire platter was done in minutes. The topping was crunchy and buttery!! I baked at 400 for about 35-40 minutes! Thank you so much for sharing! I pinned already!

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Yummy!!! I sauteed red bell pepper and broccili(sp) with garlic and shallots and then added the meat. I used low sodium soy sauce and did not have mirin or sesame oil so I just used rice wine vinegar and a bit of vegetable oil. I served over chow mein noodles. This was great!! It was a little salty but soy sauce is anyway. My 2 and a half year old son said he liked the broccili. Would be good with just the vegetables too..Thanks!!!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
OK, it bugs me when people rate a recipe but they change everything about it. I did do that here so I apologize. I give this recipe 5 stars because it gave me some new ideas... First, peeled and pierced the potatoes and microwaved them. Second, sauteed half of a chopped up white onion in butter. Third, added the flour and milk..don;t think I needed to do that. Will omit the next time. Fourth, added in the diced up potatoes into the milk. I did not add all the milk..just kept adding as it thickened and toward the end. Also added two cans of low sodium chicken broth. Fifth, mashed the potatoes with a masher so it had little chunks. And finally, did add the sour cream and used another reviewers super suggestion to add the salt add the end.Doing that at the end was perfect. Added pepper in the beginning and it needed alot--I also used more potatoes.(yukons) Thanks for helping me find a better potato soup!!

Spring Strawberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
Very good. I used less oil and will use less vinegar the next time but very good. Topped my salad with the Kraft crumbles of feta, provolone, and parmesan cheeses. Also added Dawn's Candied walnuts from this site. Thank you!!

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
This was so yummy and delicious and EASY! I have never done this before and I have two children running around while I was making them. I loved the smell as they were roasting. I didn't know the temp so I just watched it and you can see it starts to stick on the sides of the pot and I figured the sauce was ready. I didn't have wax paper so just put it on parchment paper, separated with a fork and DONE! They also came apart easily when I went to store it. I put them on the Spinach Strawberry salad from this site. Thanks for something easy for summer and the holidays. I felt so homey and cozy as I was making them.

Very good..my husband was skeptical at first but he enjoyed it. I scaled it down to 4 people and the amounts were perfect. I think I may add walnuts the next time and try red wine vinegar. Thanks for the recipe.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
This is delicious! I love the cheeses and the lemon flavor together. When baked in the oven, it does have a crispy coating. I LOVE lemons and I add more for my taste. I use more fresh garlic instead of garlic sauce. The only thing is it doesn't really make a sauce. I will continue to tweek that part of it. Otherwise, a great recipe. Thanks!

Sesame Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2004
This was my first time making stir fry. I thought it was tasty but I agree it needs something. I increased the amount of garlic and ginger, but it needed something else.Hopefully I will figure it out the next time. I marinated the meat as another reviewer stated and used much less oil. Good starter recipe. Thanks!

I loved it! My husband liked it better than regular cutlets with bread crumbs. They came out nice and crunchy! I seasoned the crackers with garlic powder, italian seasoning, and pepper. Next time I will add even more. Thanks for the great recipe!

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2004
I followed the recipe exactly and added cinnamon but I didn't love it. My husband liked it. I think the next time I make it I won't put the two halves together again because the juices only stayed in the one.I think would make it tastier.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
This was so delicious and easy. I used fresh garlic and added extra. I also used bread crumbs that were already seasoned and romano cheese instead of parmesan because that is what I had on hand. The chicken was crispy and moist at the same time. I served it with garlicky green beans and rice. Thanks for a great recipe...Will be making it often.:)

Italian Style Flounder

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2004
I thought this was an easy and tasty recipe. I used tilapia instead of the flounder. I also used diced grape tomatoes and fresh garlic. It doesn't have a sauce so I may add more butter the next time. I cooked it for 25 minutes which was plenty of time. Thanks for the recipe!
