OK, it bugs me when people rate a recipe but they change everything about it. I did do that here so I apologize. I give this recipe 5 stars because it gave me some new ideas...
First,peeled and pierced the potatoes and microwaved them.
Second, sauteed half of a chopped up white onion in butter.
Third, added the flour and milk..don;t think I needed to do that. Will omit the next time.
Fourth, added in the diced up potatoes into the milk. I did not add all the milk..just kept adding as it thickened and toward the end.Also added two cans of low sodium chicken broth.
Fifth, mashed the potatoes with a masher so it had little chunks.
And finally, did add the sour cream and used another reviewers super suggestion to add the salt add the end.Doing that at the end was perfect. Added pepper in the beginning and it needed alot--I also used more potatoes.(yukons)
