This recipe is great and so simple! We have made it twice now and we love it. Two things I did differently, used 1/4 cup beef mix instead of onion soup mix (simply because I tend to have beef mix on hand before onion soup mix), second thing - to the people complaining that the gravy is too watery, I add 1/4 cornstarch (mixed with a tiny bit of water of course) to the crockpot when it's nearly done cooking, VOILA gravy is perfect!

I've used this recipe a couple of times now and I wouldn't change a thing. Well correction, I do add a bit more milk just until the batter is the consistency that I like. Honestly, these are the fluffiest best tasting pancakes I have ever made and they have the perfect fluffy, cake-like texture - and they cook wonderfully! I will not be trying another pancake recipe, this one is a keeper - and if it's not broken don't fix it I say! To all of the people saying that these pancakes tasted bitter - I seen a few said that they had used baking soda, not baking powder - these 2 are not the same thing people, adding 3 1/2 tsp of baking soda to pancake batter would be your problem, there is a reason why the recipe says baking powder!

This recipe was great, the first time I made it I put in the nutmeg, the second time I left it out. I enjoyed it more with the nutmeg left out just because it tasted more like the fair doughnuts. It does take some getting used to if you have never made doughnuts before, but practice makes perfect!:)

This recipe was excellent!! I did listen to other people's reviews and doubled the sauce recipe (and really I found that, that was the perfect amount). I added some garlic cloves on top and threw the "scrap" pieces of cabbage on top (just to add even more moisture), and the cabbage rolls were absolutely perfect. The worst thing you can do to a cabbage roll is make it dry and tasteless. These cabbage rolls were full of sooo much flavour and moisture, I would have to say I have honestly never had any as good as this. Even my husband was impressed (and that takes a lot! lol) 5 stars all the way! I will definitely be making this again!

I just made this recipe today and I absolutely love it! I actually accidentally read the recipe wrong and put an egg in with my bread dough mixture, but after reading some of the reviews about the dough being too crumbly and somewhat dense I wasn't quite as worried about the way the bread might turn out. The result: the bread was the perfect texture inside and out. The recipe tastes exactly like the local bakery bread that I used to buy, which was exactly what I was looking for. This bread is perfectly moist, with a perfect crust and is absolutely delicious! The cornmeal and egg wash at the end give it the extra push to send it right over the top. Definitely a keeper!
