Cilantro Chicken Burgers with Avocado

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2013
I think with a little fine tuning it could be 4 stars. the cilantro was overwhelming, I will cut that down next time. It's definitely missing salt. I think I'll eliminate the soy sauce and just use salt. I made fresh guacamole and put that on top instead of just avocado. I sprinkled a little cheese. I brushed olive oil on my cast iron grill and it turned out fine. Put a lid on it so it obtains a little moisture. It was good texture wise. It smelled really yummy. The flavor just lacked a little something. I'll def. try it again.

Tomato Basil Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
This was a great idea. I eliminated the pepper jack and mozzarella (cause i didn't have any) and used whole wheat spiral. It was perfect. My 4 year old asked for more.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
This recipe was fabulous. I had all the ingredients already so it was a no brainer. It was quick. I used canned mushrooms, instead of fresh, but it turned out really good. I didn't have just balsamic vinegar, but I had balsamic vinaigrette dressing, which made the sauce thicker. My picky 3 year old inhaled it. lol. Great recipe!

Tender Tomato Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
This was really yummy. I added garlic powder and italian seasonings to the chicken/tomatoes. Also, next time I'm just going to add the veggies to the chicken at the end instead of boiling separately. I wish I didn't drain the sauce from the veggies.

This was really yummy. I agree with the others that there should be more flavor, but overall it was quick, easy and delicious. Husband loved it and the cooking time was perfect.

Beef Teriyaki

This was really yummy. I added the pepper flakes as someone recommended and it was great. I would try jasmine rice just to give it extra authenticity. I thought the sauce was just right.

Jenn's Out Of This World Spaghetti and Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2005
This was really good. I've made these a dozen times and have fine tuned the recipe. Instead of 3 cans of tomato paste, I just use one can and 1/8 cup of sugar. I add a 16oz can of tomato sauce to the receipe (you can keep the one cup of water). Definately use the fresh ingredients. I tried without and it's terrible. After it's cooked, transfer it to a slowcooker to warm for about an hour. I accidentally discovered this, but it enfuses all the flavors and gives a wonderful consistency to the sauce.

Avocado Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2005
This was really good, but I think I put too much onions. I love avocados, so I was looking for a light dinner recipe with them and it was really helpful! I made it with lettuce, sprinkled cheese and put a little salsa. YUM! I'm going to try it the other ways listed in the reviews. Thanks!

Creamy Pea Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
This soup was yummy but it is better if you do it all the day before, it's very time consuming, having to cook and then blend in the cream cheese. It was also very heavy. I agree with the light cream cheese.
