Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
Oh how I love these. So sinfully delicious. I end up eating so many, they're just so good! And I wouldn't reccommend using lowfat cream cheese- but reduced fat oreos work fine.

This was my first time making fondant, and I have to admit- I was scared! But this recipe was so incredibly simple and it came out flawless! I will never buy fondant again- this recipe is wonderful and a money saver!

Brownie Batter + Cupcake = The SECOND BEST Cupcake. Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
These cupcakes were a HUGE success! I made mini cupcakes, and they were amazing! I layered the brownie mix on the bottom, and then I put a layer of white cake on top. (Simple White Cake by SCOTTOSMAN on this webiste). I put a chocolate chip in the center of each cupcake, and then frosted the cupcakes with "Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting" from this website. I then sprinkled chocolate crumbles on top to pull everything together. They were beyond incredible! I recieved rave reviews! At first I was worried that the cupcakes wouldn't bake evenly considering that there were 2 different mixes with 2 different baking times, but they came out fine! Better than fine- AMAZING! HIGHLY reccommend! I will be making these again for sure. And this yields A LOT of cupcakes- I was able to make 110 mini cupcakes. But not to worry- everyone will gobble them right up!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I made this recipe into cupcakes- they came out really good! The only negative thing is that they were a little chewy. Also, they overflowed, and that was after I halfed the recipe and made 15 cupcakes. Maybe it is just my new oven. Overall, I would say that it is really good and extremely easy!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Best cupcake I have had in a long time! Mine were light and fluffy, probably because of what other reviewers suggested... creaming the butter and sugar for 8-10 minutes. It may seem like a lot, but it's worth it. They did taste similar to a sugar cookie, but that was not a bad thing at all. The only issue I had was that the cupcakes were rather flat. They spread out a little too much on the tops, so I had to cut some of the edges off... and this was even when I made 17 cupcakes instead of 12. Overall, this is a really good cupcake/cake, and it makes more than I needed... which was a bonus! Great recipe, it is highly reccomended by my whole family.

Chocolate Snowballs

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
Wow. These are perfect! So soft! Soft on the outside and the inside... I have never had a cookie that has stayed like that before. I followed the recipe exactly, except for I let them cool on the pan for about 2 minutes after they were done, then rolled them in powdered sugar only once. They are very soft, so be careful, they fall apart easily at first. Also, my cookies were dome shaped... I don't know how some people got them to be ball shaped... they were still good though. Lastly, I would like to comment that they were not too chocolatey... my family found them to be perfect.

Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
We LOVED these! If you love cookie dough, you will love these! I did make a few changes though, which is why I am only giving this 4 stars. As is, it deserves 4 stars. I used 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and a whole bag of normal sized chocolate chips. I like it better when there is chocolate in every bite. I made them a very decent size, yet they made more than expected, which was a plus! Also, I put them into the freezer for about an hour and then dipped some of them in chocolate. They were great and looked amazing! If you dip them in chocolate or not, they still look and taste fine. Also, I found that in the freezer it froze a little too much, so instead I put them in a container and placed them in the coldest part of the fridge. They are still great, and I reccomend eating them directly from the fridge/freezer.

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
Mmmm... perfect! The filling is perfect, and the shortbread crust compliments it beautifully! I did make 1 1/2 times the filling, with only 5 eggs instead of 6. It came out great! The filling had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I have to say, next time I will stick to the original amount of filling and crust... only because I am a big fan of shortbread cookies! Overall, they were really good!

Outrageously Buttery Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This is a great recipe! The crumbs were easy, and they tasted delicious! I did change the recipe a bit, but nothing too big. Instead of using 1 1/2 cups butter, I used 1 cup margarine and 1/2 cup butter. Also, instead of using a boxed cake, I used a recipe for vanilla cake! The recipe was not from this site, but you coud use a vanilla cake recipe from this site. I think it works better than a boxed cake mix. Overall, this recipe was a big success! Everybody enjoyed it, although the crumb was a little rich! It was still great though... It looked amazing and tasted even better! Thanks for the recipe! This is a keeper! Oh, and definetly use a 9x13 pan... not a jellyroll pan.

Thimble Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
Every Christmas, we would have thumbprint cookies. Even though it isn't Christmas, I really wanted to make these! They are just so delicious! Since I couldn't find my mom's recipe, I decided to look for one on here, and I remembered that mom's had lemon juice in it, and so does this one! I decided to give it a try. I left out dipping them in the egg white and walnuts, which was fine. I filled them with apricot preserves, and they were great! When I was finished making these, they tasted just like my mom's recipe! A few minutes later I found her recipe... and this one is a whole lot easier, cheaper, and tasted the same! I will be saving this for a long time!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This was good considering the amout of time it took to make, and just good in general! I was a little skeptical at first, because before I put it in the microwave it seemed like it was just a bubbly mess... but it came together after a few rounds in the microwave. It was VERY chocolatey though. I would reccomend only using 1/4 cup cocoa powder, because as is, it is a little hard to eat a full serving. A little too much vanilla as well. It was kind of overwhelming, both the chocolate and vanilla flavor. Try 1 teaspoon vanilla, and as others have suggested, mix in a tablespoon of butter with it. Overall, pretty tasty, quick, and creamy!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
I don't know what happened. These did not turn out as good as I had hoped. I followed the directions, and even cut the frosting in half, but it was still super sweet. I will try these again, because maybe it was my combinations of flavors. I made yellow cake with vanilla frosting, and even dipped some in milk chocolate... way too sweet, even with half of the frosting. The consistency wasn't too great either. It was almost as if it was already chewed... not exactly appetizing. On the bright side, they were really easy to make!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
These cookies were good! It was not what I was looking for, but that wasn't the recipe's fault. Everyone liked them, and this recipe yielded a lot as well! I ended up with over 60, and they were decent size. They looked exactly like the pictures too! I think I will be making this recipe again.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
I liked them a lot! They made a lot more than 12, but that is because we made them small. I used 1 1/2 banana because that is all I had, and it was fine. The only thing is that these are a little bland... next time I will add vanilla, as suggested. I will make this again for sure, with a few modifications of course!

Sweetheart Cupcakes

This worked really well! It was a nice surprise for those who ate it to see pink in the middle! I will definetly use this technique again! What a great idea. Next time I am going to try it with different flavors.

Cream-Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
WOW! These were a hit. Kids as well as adults loved them! I was a little worried about the filling when I made it, because it was wet and not fluffy at all. It worked fine in the end. I did have to cut a hole in the top of the cake to get more filling in, but that was because it was suggested. I had no chocolate frosting for the top, so instead I topped it with melted chocolate. Delicious... so much so that some people ate 2 or 3 of them, and they were standard size! I am definetly using this recipe again. Oh, and YES... it did make 36 cupcakes. Actually 40 for me.

Quick Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
These were quick and easy, just like the recipe says. I used half brown sugar and half white, like some others had suggested, and I think that was better. They were VERY sugary for me. I don't think they had too much peanut butter... I made them the suggested size and they were perfectly fine. I think I will put a little less sugar in next time...

Brown Sugar Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
Wow! These were really good! I thought they may be to sweet... nope! They were perfect. I left out the walnuts and sprinkled chocolate chips on top, and it was delicious! Kind of like a chocolate chip cookie, except the texture was different and it tasted more of... vanilla? I agree with all of the other 5 star reviews. They were so good! Nothing went wrong at all, and they were very easy to make! The batter was more like cookie dough then batter, but it turned out great in the end. I made them last night and they are almost gone! I think these are more like blondies then brownies, which is what we call them. This recipe is a keeper!

5 Minute Microwave Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
This was pretty good cornbread! It looked and tasted beautiful, and it only took 5 minutes to make! Still, it was not quite the same as cornbread made in the oven. Not golden on the edges or top, all of it cooks evenly including the edges. It was pretty good, could be sweeter, it also has a sort of different flavor, but still tasted like cornbread. I had no problem with the texture. It was different, but not in a way that made it unappealing. I think I will make this again, especially if I am short on time. I would suggest eating it with honey.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
These are one of my favorite cookies! I normally don't like fruit preserves, but for some reason I love how it tastes with this cookie. I have no problems with this recipe itself. My only suggestion is to double the recipe! These cookies are always gone so quickly!
