Mum's Irish Apple Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2003
Okay, even though I didn't have nearly enough flour for this recipe and my dough wouldn't roll (due to the lack of flour) and I dropped the top half of the pie in my oven and had to spatula it out and replace it, this pie (even though it wasn't all that pretty after my abuse of it) STILL tasted good! I would try it again, with all the ingredients next time.

Chocolate Lover's Torte

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2003
I really liked this recipe, though everyone else in my family thought it was too sweet. I would make it again, though. It was chocolatey enough and looked really nice.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2003
These were good. I was amazed that they actually stayed soft and chewy for a few days after baking. They were lacking a little in taste value, I think. They could have been sweeter or something, but overall, I woud recommend them and I would bake them again.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2003
These were okay. I don't have a bread machine and that's probably where I went wrong. They didn't rise very well. Then, I thought I had way too much of the brown sugar mixture so I omitted some of it, but afterwards decided I should have left it in because it kind of evaporated in baking. They don't really taste at all like Cinnabon, even though they look nice and my family seemed to enjoy them. I was a little disappointed. I'll keep looking for a better recipe.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2003
This was really good, really moist. I ended up putting vanilla frosting on the top because I had an open container of it. It isn't necessary, but I would definitely recommend it.

Chocolate Filled Bon-Bons

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2003
This recipe was alright. I didn't have any problems with it except that it took awhile to cover the chocolate with the dough. However, the cookies didn't taste very chocolatey (and they were more of a cookie than anything). The upside is that they stayed soft for a few days.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
Very good. These came out incredibly moist. I might add more pumpkin next time, but other than that, great recipe.

Reese's® Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
I loved these and ate too many of them by myself. They were really easy too, except that I couldn't get the extra chocolate to "drizzle" so I just omitted it. Not too peanut-buttery or chocolatey, but really moist and delicious.

White Chocolate Blondies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
Really good. These were a huge hit with friends and relatives. They came out like big chocolate chip cookie bars but I must have done something wrong because I couldn't taste the white chocolate at all. Still, excellent recipe!

Banana Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2003
I took someone's idea and made "bars" instead of cookies and it ended up more like bread than anything. Still, it was really tasty and everyone who tried it like it. I also doubled the amount of banana used and added walnuts. I would recommend it.

Apple Cake IV

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
I LOVED this recipe!!! It was so good, better than I had imagined. I used more apples and mixed most into the batter, but then saved a lot to place neatly on top of the batter, completely covering the cake and then sprinking the sugar and cinnamon on top of that. It looked very nice and tasted amazing!

Hershey's ® Gridiron Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
I cheated, too, and used a box chocolate cake mix to save some time and effort. After all, the decoration takes forever. It's worth it, though. I used more icing than in the recipe, but my family likes icing. I also substituted for the Twizzlers with Kit Kats stacked on the Rolos and held together with peanut butter. It kept falling over, but worked out well enough. Also, the icing colors don't come out as dark as in the picture. We had a gathering and everyone said it "looked too good to eat." Trust me, though, it got eaten.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
I enjoyed these when I made them. I would recommend adding more apples if you like. I thought I put in too many at first, but it's as if they disappear after baking. I would make these again.

Buckeye Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
I love these things. This recipe is perfect. Just make sure the peanut butter mix is well-refridgerated before rolling and dipping them in the chocolate, because they'll fall right off the toothpick and start a mess. It is difficult to make them as pretty as they are when store-bought, but they're just as tasty!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Were very chewy and tasty the first day, but quickly got very hard. I would recommend them if you know they're going to get eaten right away. They were tasty enough.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
These didn't stay chewy very long and made many more than the recipe promised. They came out pretty though and were perfectly round. Still, I would try a different recipe next time.

Glazed Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
This pie is so tasty!!! It disappeared quite quickly from my house. I would recommend keeping it refridgerated and adding more apples if you would like. You have to try this!
