Cocoa Banana Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2014
I needed a bran muffin that my son will actually eat. These fit the bill nicely. I will be making a few batches, and freezing them for school day mornings.

Chef John's Perfect Prime Rib

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
Om-nom-nommy and easy. This recipe is also great if you think you might lose the electricity, because it only needs those few minutes of actual energy to cook, and you can eat the beef sliced cold as well as hot.

Best Bread Machine Bread Modified Allrecipes Version

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
Did everyone use "RapidRise" yeast for this bread recipe. I cannot get regular yeast to foam and rise when following recipe as it is written. HELP. I haven't tasted it yet because I haven't baked it yet!

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2013
I don't like bacon bits, so I used crisp half-slices of bacon, which I cook in the oven once a week to use during the week. I also gently sweated the onion in a pan so my picky eaters would not notice it. I also added a pinch of nutmeg. This recipe was so delicious and so easy. I had it ready by the time everyone else got up and I froze the couple of slices left over to use on a busy weekday morning. Thanks so much!

I ran out of fresh cherries, so I added a handful of sliced plums. Turned out great!

Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Ice Pops

I love this, and so does my little boy. They are so healthy, that we have eaten them for breakfast. They are also a good way to use up your fruit after a couple of days. Thanks for the great recipe!

Poached Eggs Caprese

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
I made the poaching process a little easier by turning off the water when it began to boil. After that, I added the vinegar and salt, and then slipped the eggs in gently as described by the recipe. I covered, and let the eggs cook without simmering. Because they are not moving at all, they are much more "together" and I removed them after 10 minutes. I followed the rest of the recipe and the combination of pesto with the eggs and mozza was divine! Loved it - thanks!
